As far as I remember, last time when Inder tried to get hold of a dealer in Pune for IRC tyres, he failed. You can get in contact with him and ask if he has found a dealer now.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostStrike is off but the stocks haven't arrived. I enquire about it every week. Or else as Praful suggested, come down to blore for a tyre change
or else you can get it shipped from here.

Thrs no technique, as Praful said put it as regular tubless.Originally posted by Sak8 View Posthow come a tube type tyre can be used as tube less??

One thing which was done when i got mine was, he applied some kinda sticky material at the rim before setting the tyre.
Also once fitted for a few days keep the tyre pressure abit above normal.
@Niks : Mbai is the place for you .... hell lota place whr u can get IRC's
Else come to SGP
the collection available here is mind blowing......

Long time no pics in this thread...
Here are some of my recent ones....

My bike is now un-officially past the 40K kms mark.
Odo was not working for 600 kms in between. On the odo its clocked about 39.6K kms.

@ praful
thanks man..
would be going for the sirac after 2k kms more.. did couple of burnouts today to wear out the tyre soon...

even prabhakar anna suggested to go for it after cautioning regarding the drop in acceleration... but he also said there would be marginal increase in speed..
Also, i need advice for the front tyres.. which ones to go for? R15's rear or IRC (i dont know the variant) 90/90 or 100/90..
lets meet ravikiran anna first... then i'll try his 220... i have seen a few 220's with this tyre thats why iam so interested...Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostI have'nt rode a 220 with IRC. But with sirac i can bet my money. Its has done wonder's to Zma and 220. Drop in pick would be marginal and you will easily notice it. And your tope end will increase too. Its the best tyre for 220 for offroading as well. Infact Praful is getting it for the very same reason.
As praful said Ravikran Uncle is the best person for comments on this. Try out his bike.

A rear tyre is meant and designed to be used as that, please don't use it as a front tyre.Originally posted by rahul9985 View Post@ praful

For front tyre options are
1. New 220's 90/90 front
2. IRC Wild Flare 90/90 (Ravi kiran has used this!)
3. IRC MB-99 100/90
4. FZ16 100/80 tyre
5. R15 80/90 tyre_________________________

Hey guys.. are there any aftermarket RVMs available for the 220, because all I see in the current ones is myself.. it cant be that i cannot get the mirror settings right... because the mirror is waay too short to be of any use. I mean.. on other bikes, the mirror edges end up at around the length of the handlebar.. here.. as we all know.. its around half-way till the grip..
another thing.. I was stuck in baad traffic today (Asaram Bapu's program was 400meters from my place) so i was stuck in a lot of pedestrian traffic for about 5-6 minutes.. after which i realized.. the bike had really heated up.. any way we can keep the heat down.. or is it normal? this is because it was the first time i rode it for that long at <10kmph speeds.. and was obviously worried..
P.S.: I have a 1.5 day old P220 DTSi.. so not much experience with the bike.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

u can go for p180's RVM's.. will need a little bit of fabrication.. and the heating up is 100% normal.. u can feel the heatOriginally posted by antz.bin View PostHey guys.. are there any aftermarket RVMs available for the 220, because all I see in the current ones is myself.. it cant be that i cannot get the mirror settings right... because the mirror is waay too short to be of any use. it has been nearly a week since i got 2nd free servicing done.
odo is showing 2626kms.
now the problem started the time i went for the delivery of bike.
what i see on reaching there that my bike is standing covered in dust and surrounded by garbage(since they have an empty plot near pbk they use it as alternate garage {freaks
} )
i asked if servicing is done the man in charge gave a colgate smile
and said yes.
ok , now when they took bike out the bloody service man was literally wrestlling with my bike to take it out{freak again}and didnt suceeded.
thank god i hurried up and took it out myself.
NOW THE TIME FOR TEST RUN.....
ok on first drive i didnt felt anything was done.
now on stopping i looked at the chain it was covered in muck....
no lubing no oiling anywhere.
rear tyre was like jammed in muck...
that service guy was standing out there still giving that colgate smile
i headed to him told that nothing was done.
he said "aap rukiye main gaadi chalake dekhta hu"
that guy jumped on the bike and started ripping in the traffic (as if like poser x)
when came to halt i dont know how i controlled myself from running my bike on him.
"sir sab to thik he aap gate paas banva lo me gadi dhula ke oiling kara deta hu"
it cost 10 rs.
time was 6:00pm time for closing service centre so they said if i have any problem take bike next day.
but due to my exams i couldn't do that.
now when i was polishing bike yesterday.
i saw a ugly scratch on the bottom of silencer

and now the front fairing is making a little grrrrrr sound around 4000-6000 rpm.
also he said "arre co setting bhi kari he computer se"
i dont think that too.
NOW I WILL NEVER LEAVE MY BIKE TO THEM
GUYS CAN U PLZ TELL ME WHAT POINTS SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE WHILE TAKING BIKE TO SERVICING.
WHAT SHOULD BE CO LEVEL?
WHAT TO DO WITH THE FAIRING?
CAN I CLAIM THEM TO TOUCH UP THE SILENCER?
and what should be the idle rpm?
AND WHAT ELSE SHOULD BE DONE AT 2ND FREE SERVICING.
{guys u r my last hope those people sucks big time}
thnx for reading my tragic story
waitin for ur suggestions.

people here in pbk do nice servicing..but same here...while taking off bike they wrestle with it n push it on main stand.Originally posted by Sak8 View Postit has been nearly a week since i got 2nd free servicing done.

i dont think there is any need to change or program CO setting tht early at 2nd service.
with fairing vibe u can use some band..there's a solN for tht in this thread.
idle rpm shud be 1500-1600.thts fine..
theres nothing much to do in 2nd servicing..maybe air filter cleansing is recommended.u can check tht THINGS TO BE DONE on back page of servicing leaflet in manual.tht way u can know which things u can replace under warranty. n which u shud.
my silencer is completely scratched now.some by me some by pbk guys.i complaint..but they said it cant be claimed under warranty and they never agree tht they done it.

For RVMS you need to do some jugaad work which involves cutting of the stem of RVM. You can choose from either the P150/180 mirrors or the RTR mirrors.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostHey guys.. are there any aftermarket RVMs available for the 220,

I use the RTR mirrors. Click the below pic, the black 220 uses a P150 mirror and the red one uses a RTR mirror. The RTR mirrors a shade better in terms of functionality and looks.

The heat is normal, get used to it. P220 runs hotter than most other bikes.
I've been using the stock tyres as I find the performance of the front to be adequate and more pocket friendly. The stock zappers cost 1.4K, where the IRC wild flare costs 2.6K. My next front tyre change would prolly just be stock of the 220 Dts-i.Originally posted by rahul9985 View Posti'll try ravikiran anna's bike first.. whats ur go among these? which one are u using right now? u ran for over 40k kms..

The only point you need to take care while servicing is you never leave ur bike alone unless you trust the svc center.Originally posted by Sak8 View Posti

CO Level - 2.5-3.0
Fairing needs to be double taped from the inside to dampen the vibes.
You cannot prove that they damaged the silencer, it will go thru ur pocket only.
Idle RPM - 1350-1500 RPM
Nothing except chain lubing is a part of the second service!_________________________
