Michelin sell the Sirac as TubeType tyre. But a lot of people have been using it as a TubeLess without any issues. Its a risk you need to decide if you want to take.Originally posted by yash3 View Posthow abt the sirac.can it be used as Tube less tyre
The ECU is not programmable.Originally posted by Phoenix220 View PostHey ppl,

There are many owner's in here, this kind of info is not going to really give you any solid info....mileage figures vary largely.Originally posted by advanced View Postpulsar 220 dts-fi owner's pls mention your actual kms done and millage you getting from your bike plzz...!!!
Anyspecific reason you need this info? If you want to know thats the average mileage figure we get here, then its about 34-39 as an average.
EDIT: Looks like my bike's engine related issues seem to be getting resolved. Last time around bike was barely doing 126-127 on the roller bench, yesterday it hit an impressive 144 kmph.
More updates once I've ridden it a lil bit more...

accident
hey guys had a really bad accident on wed (9.9.09) !! freaking car guy hit me while commin from the opposite side !! it was bad !! uploading bikes pic main damage was to the silencer and the right foot rest !! have given it for insurance claim !! everything thing done except the rear brake pump was also broken (damn expensive ) al the brake fluid leaked out !! that thing is 2500 bucks and spares are not availabe !!! neways waitin to get the bike back !! i blame it all on the rear view mirrors man !! they are really really not helpin during traffic ! have to change them !! neways nothin happened to me right leg hit the car door hard was swollen for sometime bt became fine ! the silencer actually had given up (cracker from welding) during my ride on n.i.c.e road speed session it actually slipped of the welding i think coz half way back home the noise from the silencer became really loud sounded like an after market exhaust my main question is that has the silencer act like this for anyone else ?? i mean has the silencer slipped off and the noise becomes really loud ? coz the silencer is really expensive too ! total damage worth is 12k but insurance will help in covering 90% so good in a way .
here is the silencer after n.i.c.e road session with john and avin (b4 the accident this is on tuesday night after i came back from the ride )

- The silencer breaking that way is very very normal happens to most of the silencers of the older models. Is your bike less than 2 years old? You could claim it under warranty provided there is no external damage to the exhaust.
- Either change the mirror to the P150/RTR mirrors or stop depending on them. Turn your head to watch for traffic.
- Insurance will cover 90% for metal parts and 50% for plastic parts_________________________

Really man.. the mirrors are a real pain.. BTW.. has anyone ever tried Fazer / R15 mirrors (they are fairing mounted too..)Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostHope you are alrite?

@diehard.. hope you are fine.. a bike can be rebuilt... human body needs to be saved.. i hope you did make the trip to the hospital to get your spares in order..Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Diehard: Man it was real bad. It's good that nothing happened to you. Hope you get your bike soon & in perfect condition.
I am having some problems of my own. Lately my bike was giving a buzzing kind of sound from engine. No smoke, nothing. No issue with performance too. Initially, before the 1st ride of the day, the sound would be very low. Eventually, it grew louder as I put on some kms on the odo. Now gave the bike to the PBK, Okhla on Thursday evening before closing. They said there is some problem with the VALVE & Piston head. They changed it under warranty since I have done only 21638 kms. I asked them about the reason they could not give me any convincing one just saying it happens. Took the bike on Saturday 02:00 PM. They advised me to ride @50-55 till next 500 kms. Doing so. But again facing 2 problems
1) The sound is there. I don't know what they have changed or what work they have done on my bike
2) Since delivery, my bike stalled thrice !. It happens when I have to down shift, close the throttle while pressing the clutch. Suddenly engine stops running. I release the clutch while in gear the bike starts !
Just called them up & gave them an earful. I wonder did I make a foolish choice by selecting P220 when I had the money for R15
I loved my 220 very much. Quite depressed with this issue. My 220 is my life. Let's see what theses idiots say this time"HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic

I'm having this problem with my p220 dts-fi.The fuel indicator is higly unreliable. It tends to show lower fuel level than actually it is.This morning when I took the bike out,the fuel indicator showed only 1 bar with the fault light on.After riding a few hundred meters it gradually started climbing up and finally stabilised at 8 bars.Is it my problem only or other guys are also having similar problems.
Also the rear view mirrors are not of much help really. They are mere elbow reflectors. Can I change them for something better?? Any suggestions???

It happens usually if you are at an incline or decline position or your bike have been on the side front when you turned the ignition. I turn off the bike & restart it but in actual straight position. That shows the correct fuel bar. Hope that's the only thing with you.Originally posted by dextr View PostI'm having this problem with my p220 dts-fi.The fuel indicator is higly unreliable.

Regarding RVMs, read this thread. It has been discussed at length by some Sr. members"HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic
