Yep a world of a difference! Grip is MUCH better than stock, corner's better than stock. Wet grip is better than stock. Because the profile is taller than stock, gearing gets altered. I now does 5Kmph more in the same RPM. Because of this, bike runs smoother, gives better mileage and hit a higher topspeed. But acceleration takes a drop too.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostAny REAL difference in the rideability of the bike. I mean any change in the real constraints like speed (not error introduced), low rpm? And which one SIRAC?
@a.jayamohan: Thanks dude!

That's why dtsi owners also hold in suspicion that it is a new version of P220dtsi
The silver alloys and wine red colour glows and really a feast for eyes
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.

It's exact opposite to me!!!Originally posted by a.jayamohan View PostThe same question asking by my friends to me.I always cleaning my dtsfi's alloys weekly basis and even polishing the alloys & silencer with formula1. so the bike always looks newer

some of my friends parents(dtsi owners parents) asks"dont u take care of your bike?"....."look it looks so old than others!"

about cleaning....it takes me much longer to clean engine,alloys and silencer than body
and again rims and engine looks old and dull in colour
i think i'll go and search some good wax for them too.and for body i use turtle wax.
and my problem is it shines

but it shines like old bike

But then again,,,"it is a old bike"Last edited by robean-gyalchen; 12-30-2010, 12:47 PM."Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts."

@Satish: Its cling film to protect the tank from tank bag scratches!
I've polished my bike twice, once about 2.5 years back once recently about 1 month back! :POriginally posted by robean-gyalchen View PostIt's exact opposite to me!!!

yeah!!if cleaned properly it looks niceOriginally posted by a.jayamohan View PostSilver alloys and engine glows more in night. so if we polish these areas, believe me it is more safe in night rides and looks too
cbr250 is coming with silver alloys...I think the trend is coming back
and i prefer silver alloys than black anyday but my problem is due to some reasons my engine block and cylinder(curves,or corners) have reddish or pink lines....may be due to pump water(water pump,ground water).any suggestion to make it go away???a local mech here suggested me to do acid wash
but i did'nt did that,worried about bike

any idea what can i do??
@praful,

only twice in 2.5 years...Miracle...miracle..

I do diesel spray on the engine outside (Not on Paint parts) and kept for 15 minitues.That help to clear all dirt,grease etc very easily. only then shampoo and water washOriginally posted by robean-gyalchen View Postyeah!!if cleaned properly it looks nice

i suspect the float inside the tank. bajaj has always had this problem. but seriously 8litres of fuel and bars not showing up
... get the tank removed and check for the float valve wiring. one single wire with a green clip.
My status for today.
