+1 long life is a always an issue on the softer compounds. But I guess it's better know now rather than later I guess.

Thanks mate. Also, what about SIRAC? I am a little confused, it's the same as MRF as the stock or a little on the softer side?

And when you said yours went bald in 12k kms you mean the MRF or the IRC?

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

12K of awesome grip is OK in books. It will last a lot longer for most people, I did a lot of different things with that tyre. It wore off much sooner than it usually would have.

If you manage to source it, you I'd come and get you

Of if you do find it lemme know, I will ride down there the next weekend

      Sirac is softer than MRF.

12K kms going bald was the IRC

      • So guys, I am back from a small vacation. A trip of 834 kms round trip. I went to Kasauli & Chail which are in Himachal Pradesh.
The more I tour, the more I fall in love with this bike & it's capabilities. CCs matter & raw power matters especially when you are touring with 15 kg saddle bags, 2-3 kgs of tank bag, a light laptop bag & two adults with combined weight of 140 kgs going to the hills. Overtaking vehicles & climbing steep hills is never a problem with this 220.
        Love you, my 220.
Travelogue will follow soon. Loads of pics & stories

Nice one mate! Really loved the third photo.

                Keep it coming!

P.S. Kudos for your better half for accompanying you on your ride, not a lot of them do that. That's what they say, better half isn't it.

                Keep riding! Rock on!

                • Just a small query, as I have never dealt with shock absorbers going bad before nor heard anyone.

Does shock absorbers going bad cause back pain? How to know if the shocks have gone bad? How to get them fixed? Do they refill nitrox gas or something or is it a complete replacement? Please reply urgently. I got a bad back ache probably due to it, thats what I think.

Shock absorbers either go hard or too soft, in which case both are bound to cause fatigue and pain.

I don't know about Nitrox filling, as I've never heard any instance of people refilling Nitrox. It's just a chamber of gas in the shock, so it's use and throw stuff.

To know how whether your shocks have gone kaput, you need to first check the shock tuning. Hard, soft and medium. Harder ones give more feedback and causes pain, softer settings allow the the shocks to move up and down more freely taking the road shock and providing comfort. Medium setting is either too soft or too hard it is just what it's meant for city riding.

If your shock remains too hard or too soft at these settings then you might need to replace your shocks.

As a note, shock absorbers don't go kaput very soon. Try adjusting the shock settings for more results.

                    Hope this helps!

                    Cheers!

bad shockers can definitely cause you pain & even slip disc (My RX caused mine a long time back).
get it checked. There is way to fill air into the shockers. Also, as B7ackthorn said, get the settings checked.

If the shock absorber is behaving erratically i.e. some times its too soft and bouncy and sometimes its too hard means its gone bust. I have never heard anyone doing the re-charging for their shockers ever. If any place is doing it, they are just pulling a hoax by filling in compressed air.

I replaced my rear shockers at 68K kms.

The PBK only did it, you know. They inserted a needle attached to a device having pump & filled in air. there is a tiny hole in the shockers.

Tough luck bro, searched a lot around here, even enquired with friends in cochin and our main biking shops. But the Wildflare seems to elude me everywhere.
Darn, why are the good stuff always hard to find.
