Don't know any local mechs here (and I'm not a petrolhead either) so I don't want to risk a non-Bajaj service center.
Will try the next nearest Bajaj service center and see what they say.

......my clutch failed while riding and somehow i managed to drive my bike home.....gear changes were extremely hard....I literally had to kick the gear lever to engage it
and clutch cable was also snapped and he replaced both.......I also told him about my bikes performance at high speed and need to check my FI mixture setting.....he listened to my problem and began to check my bike.......first he removed wire of my left side spark plug and checked it spark timing by firing my bike on single spark plug......he did the same with right side......and concluded that there was some spark mistiming and he needs to check the packing of alternator casing and one of spark plug was not working properly and needs replacement......how did he know just by experience??
......he then paced the new packing and screwed my bike and revved it but still the bike only revved to 9k rpm ......he then told his junior mechanic to check the petrol filter which is present just below the petrol tank in 220 FI which filters the petrol pumped by petrol pump to injector.......bingo he was correct again the petrol filter was full of dust & impurities he was going to replace that part but that petrol filter was not available in his inventory.........so he took out the filter and cleaned it manually by blowing it with compressed air.......after fitting it he again revved my bike and surprise my bike now began revving past red line to 11k rpm
...... he didnt even touch the FI mixture setting
shall we exchange the bikes
