Its been a while since my bike is having issues with the top speed. Earlier I felt that as I had a looong ride of about 5500 kms to rajasthan this might be happening. I recently spent Rs 9000/- on the servicing and did the following repairs at sai service lower parel:
    1) Clutch plate and pressure plate replaced
    2) Chain sprocket replaced
    3) Aligned forks and changed the oil
    4) Changed the complete starter body
    5) Changed the front as well as the rear disk plates and pads
    6) Changed the cone set
    7) Got the CO setting done
    8) Fuel filter replaced
    9) Tank cleaned
    10) forks overhaulled and aligned
    11) serviced

Ok the above parts were replaced because they were worn out, and now the bike is completely as good as new though it has done 48000 kms in 2 years. I have also got it completely repainted a couple of months back.

Overall I have done everything possibile but still the bike refuses to go above 125 and I am just 54 kgs. Also got the block piston verified and the probiking engg said its perfect please help me am going nuts what to do!!!!!!!!

Also today my bike did reach 125 but that too without pillion and while on a slope. Also above 4k rpm the bike does perform but it feels like something is holding the engine from revving freely.

Plus last week when i went to sai service borivali for CO setting all of a sudden all the oil from the engine drained in like ten seconds. when I asked the mech he said I dont know what happened and he refilled the oil and till now no leakage. but am seriously worried please help!!!!!!
    1. I suspect u are running on a rich mixture. Lean it and try.
    2. Check tyre pressure.
    3. Adjust chain slackness.
    4. Check for free rotation of the wheels.

And about the nightbreakers... its really a worthy upgrade for highway riders... more lighting area and extra brightness too...

    now comes the worry...
It might blind the oncoming traffic (but not as bad as the HIDs)
It produces more heat than the stock(i believe) and it might hurt the light shield..
    U have the warranty.

the test results are , i have 0.245 % of co ....prescribed limit is 2-2.5 as some pro's had said...

the level is fine right ?

one small problem i have is , when wading thru slushy roads or wet roads, the rear tyre picks up mud and slush and it splashes quite a lot... the slush enters under the seat thru small places in the rear( just above the rear tire)... how do i prevent it ? small pieces of rubber strips are placed..but isnt adequate enough. any of u with a similar problem ?

my air filter is damn clean..the element.. the foam... throttle body etc etc... still i constantly get this air filter clog warning ...keeeps flashing ...
Its fine. Dont trust CO from those vehicles.
Get extra rubber padding stuck there to avoid splashing of slush.
Your air filter sensor might be kaput. Get it checked with Diagnostic tool.

      ...
yup i also had that problem instead of fixing some rubber packing i fixed few bigger foam(those used in making sofas and all) in seat assembly where all the wires are there. and believe me it worked well not a single drop of muck slush entered in there moreover its very easy to place since foam makes its place easily.
      hope it helps.

      • today i was cruising at around 65-70 kmph on my daily route,
suddenly saw big pothole and i bumped in it (don't know from where came suddenly. kal subah tak to nahi tha waha anyways)
thank god i didnt lose balance but my bike started jerking.
as if it is struggling to keep engine on. whenever i raise throttle it starts jerking.

can anyone tell what is wrong??

there must be something wrong in the accelerator cable firstly... then later , check for components under the seat...

one advice for u when jumping a big pot hole....when u encounter a big pot hole, kindly try pulling ur handle upwards( same thing done while popping a wheelie)

get ur front tire clear of the impact...but let the rear tire hit...(coz ur not strong enough to clear the whole bike ) :P

i did this once... ever since then, pot holes dont scare me... never brake..u'll hit it even horribly..

Yeah,&even raise your butt a bit off the seat but hold on firmly to the footpegs. This will cause minimal impact to the front suspension. Rear can take it mostly. But this is only in cases where you are too late to stop the bike&braking is dangerous.

true... i forgot the lift ur butt off the seat part.. this is a similar tip even to pillion to avoid spine shattering shock... the piliion has to just get up by 1 or 2 inches off the seat.. but feet firmly on pegs... best is to stick within the speed limit.. within speed limit anything can be avoided...

I did for my friends bike, 5 days back. There are 2 ways to it.
                          (1) The sensor is located RH of the Air Filter Box. From rear of the box you can unscrew the sensor, and clean it with alcohol. But it's impossible to do it without opening other parts.

                          (2) Remove the air filter. From the opening, take a bud dip it in alcohol, and try to reach the other end, you can see a protruding edge, that's the sensor, wipe it off.

                          (3) Remove the filter element, and spray WD40 directly on the sensor.
                          Been There, Done That; Better!

                              • R15 front tyre on 220 review

                                Hi
Today i replaced my worn out front tyre with the R15 zapper FY.got the tyre for 1300. the tyre looks very thin on the 220.look like bicycle tyres. apart from that the tyre is awesome. the grip is great , the front now feels more stable in wet and sandy surfaces. the bike has become much more flickable, its changes direction very quickly and when you lean, the tyre offers so much lean that it feels like its been glued to the tarmac.braking distance has decreased. i have not pushed the tyre much but intend to do so after i have completed 300km on this tyre. i will take it to my favorite set of twisties to see how it fares but iam confident it will do great.

One thing i observed is that now after i changed the tyre the bike now is very responsive, it runs much more smoother now and feels unstressed. infact there is a appreciable difference and when my friend rode the bike he too felt the same.i dont know the reason for this but i think maybe coz now the tyre can grip the tarmac better ,the power can be put down in a more linear way which is why the bike feels more responsive. the R15 tyre is also very light.

In a nut shell, if you are not bothered about looks go for it ,its a great tyre.
