My bike had de-carb job done on its engine as it was recommended as per the service manual. But the de-carb job was botched up and hence the valves needed a rebuild at 44K kms. But a de-carb is required by every engine at some point of time. But the problem is that doing this flawlessly is kindda tough. My running in was a mix of the motoman and factory recommended method. I did a 800km ride to run it in
What exactly do you mean by your cousin's bike's engine needs a rebuild? What was the issue and what is being done to resolve the issue?
