  • @Ajinkya:Interesting. Do ensure that the bike is not running to lean due to more air intake now. Ride the bike for about 100kms and then read the plugs and get it tuned.

I've been wanting to get a UNI for my bike for ages now, but laziness kept me from doing this. But I do love to keep the bike as stock as possible

Congratulations on hitting the 50K mark. Will you retire when it will read the same as the original price tag?

              Wonderful! 50k kms without a rebuild/major overhaul!
@praful bhai, cant help but ask you this- how had you run in your bike??

I'm askin cuz i'd suggested a close cousin of mine back then to buy the 220, and now at ~35k kms his bike seems to need a rebuild! He's so pissed he's gonna run me over anytime now

He had an engine overhaul around 35k kms IIRC and some other engine related work recently too.

                • this the state of the plugs after 100 km of running the bike on the pipercross freelow filter, is it the plug colour good or bad

Is there a change in the intake noise? Is it louder?

My bike had de-carb job done on its engine as it was recommended as per the service manual. But the de-carb job was botched up and hence the valves needed a rebuild at 44K kms. But a de-carb is required by every engine at some point of time. But the problem is that doing this flawlessly is kindda tough. So all in all there was no engine screwup that required the engine to be opened up, it was a routine job.

My running in was a mix of the motoman and factory recommended method. I did a 800km ride to run it in

What exactly do you mean by your cousin's bike's engine needs a rebuild? What was the issue and what is being done to resolve the issue?

A pic more focused on the plug would have been better
Anyhow looks alrite to me, but it is on the leaner side. What is the CO/HC output now?

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.
