I guess the silencer has gone for a toss. The sound must be from baffles or muffler. Iam awaiting a replacement for mine.
Mine got replaced for the same problem.

i spoke to a the Pbk guy regarding this.. the ecu being flashed he has absolutely no idea.. but he says they will send the ecu to the factory to get it programmed..i mean to put in a new map.. god knows if he knew what he was saying.. but he recommends not to do it... one main reason is it will be tooo much of work i guess. .

Well the pbk guys dont know that there is something called flash mode in the diagnostic tool. All they know is to rich or lean the mixture. I found this when i was fiddling with the diagnostic tool one day. But was skeptical whether to use it or not! The pbk guys said use it at your own risk!

                • Hey everyone....my first post in months....have been busy with competitive exams and blah blah blah...

I have a serious issue with my bike...PLEASE HELP ME....*I know writing in caps won't help...but 'm freakin out right now*

                  So here's the problem:

My bike completed just 2900 kms (bought on Feb 11, 2009 i.e. almost a year ago) so it was sent for its scheduled third service today...The bike's been running god really good with no problem whatsoever....So the guy there opens the component to take the mobil-oil out and with that pops out a metallic part that belongs to the engine....everyone there was clueless about that part....so the guys there (the head mechanic/engineer at the meerut bajaj probiking showroom ) takes the bike for a ride, then again and again and again but since the bike is running good without that part he gives me two options....either to take the bike as there ain't any problem while riding it or to leave the bike for further inspection....so I left it there with them....they have contacted their head and are still pondering over on what to do with the bike....and frankly speaking....they have NO IDEA on what to do...

So guys need your help, has anyone else has something popping out of the engine....moreover what's the warranty cover...will any such thing be changed under warranty....and morevover what is the thing that could've popped out of the engine....

Message me guys if anyone knows anything about the problem....

Actually I'm back home now....the service center is 200 kms away....as far as the shape is concerned....its the shape of a tooth like that out of the gear system.....
takw two or three teeth with a chunk of the metal plate out....its seems to be of this shape....(I wasn't there....this is how the metal piece wa explained to me)

                        • ^^ This still does not help, as we still cannot identify which gear wheel was removed exactly.

In any case, whatever it is....you bike HAS to run with it even if it is running smoothly now without that part.

Secondly, why did they open the crankcase cover to replace the oil?

i talked to that guy(the head mechanic) again..he says 'its the gear changer' ....that's his assumption...i don't have any idea if there's even something like this in the engine...and yeah he opened the crankcase to replace the oil....and it was while changing the oil the thing came out...an UPDATE they are in talks with their head *i suppose someone at some other pbk* and they will do the needful on sunday....i.e. opening the entire engine...(may god bless my 2895 km, 359 days old bike)

                            • The air filter icon has started blinking since yesterday.
Any clues? Cleaned the foam. But the icon is still there.

Same here with me.... check with the diagnostic tool at pbk to see if the sensor is still alive or its kaput..

and get the sensor cleaned... or if u can locate the sensor clean it with a cotton ear bud or swab... dipped in petrol preferably(very little)..mine's been blinking since 200 kms now.. no time to head to PBK..
