No damage at all. But Veda's 220 got a dent in the tank on the return trip, but that was partly our fault we did not oversee the loading and locking of the compartment.

If your friend removed the fairing, how does he plan to carry it?

PS: No need to use my full name, please call me Praful.

Cool, so I'll ask him to go ahead with it, but be careful while loading&unloading.

Damage during transportation is dependent on the following variables :-

              1. Mode of transport
              2. Packing up of the bike
              3. Loading/Unloading method of the bike
              4. Placement of the bike in the transport compartment
              5. Owners Luck (This is the most important! )

Its simple. If you can work your hands up in the fairing it can be done without opening the fairing.
Remove the rubber housing. Pluck out the socket. In the low beam there will be locking clips. Push both the ends close and then out. The clips are released and then the bulb is freed. Pluck it out and fix the Osram. Make sure u put the bulb correctly. There will be a notch like thing which should point upwards. Now put the clips back in the reverse order.
High beam has a single ended clip and everything else is similar.

                    • Guys!! i am completing 10 years of biking next month. :-) i bought my first bike just as i turned 18. Initially i was not that crazy about bikes. Over the time i fell in love with them. Now i am hardcore biker who gets a dizzy feel if i dont ride a bike for couple of days.

i got so passionate about two wheels that i bought myself a cycle and a scooter ( roller skating type) :-)

I bought 220 two years back. like I started biking i was not passionate about 220 then. i had hardly seen it too as i live in a small town. One day i visited Bajaj showroom in a city with a friend to get a bike for him and saw 220. i was excited and felt out of the world seeing the bike and fell in love with the bike instantly.

i wanted one at any cost. i was too confused about which colour i wanted.

Saw a titanium grey colour 220 in Autocar magazine and instantly fell in love with the colour too. :-) I booked the bike few days later. initially dealer was ignorant about the colour i asked and was not willing to accept my booking. i had to show them grey colour 220 pictures in different magazines to convince them. :-)

15 days later i got my machine. Oh! God, it was one of the happiest days in my life :-) its the best bike i ever had. I love every bit of it.
I haven't had a single repair till date except minor ratling of fairings and tail piece and periodic services. I have done lot of touring and use the bike on a daily basis.

i find the bike very reliable and i believe it as the best bike available in India in that price range. :-)

i am very much excited about completing 10 years of biking and owning a 220. just felt like sharing with you guys. Cheers.. !!!
