There is just a small attachement that started coming on Dec'07 batches onwards. I got one fixed on mine. The splashing got reduced considerably.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostWhich mud guard do you have? I have the first version which splashes water happily. But NV's bike has a different one. I guess his bike does not.
MRF Factory has been on indefinite strike for over a month. Wat you will get in the market is old stock and most prolly over priced stuff!Originally posted by payeng View PostAny idea if the Soft Compound Zapper-C is available in the Market..?? Was thinking of the Vyde.. but as reported the Zapper-C seems to have a better straight line braking control.. therefore the Soft Compound seems exactly what the doctor ordered for me.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostMRF Factory has been on indefinite strike for over a month. But looks like will have to ride with the near bald tyre on my bike for a couple of months.. till fresh stocks arrive.

Payeng and others ,
Do u really think that changing the tire to the new compound will make the handling better ? The main thing is the chassis . its still the same though.
remember the zma ? and the 180 dtsi v1/ classic . both came with zapper Y.
but the zma handles like a charm even with the zapper y.
i really dont think the tires will make the difference.

Tell me about it, I've been riding with a bald Vyde for almost 2 months now. Wait up for a little while, there might be some exciting developments from Michelin.

I went to MRF showroom to check out the tyre, and they said, The strike is over and the production has already started, so you can expect the new stock within a week
Aren't there any options of IRC in south. It's a good tyre and holds a good confidence while ridingits all about CC...

You are absolutely right there! Without proper improvements in Frame+Suspension the Pulsar still handles skittish around corners.Originally posted by santoosh View PostPayeng and others ,

But, better tyres do make a difference to the confidence level while cornering on the 220. Definitely not a huge improvement, but they do improve confidence levels buy a large margin.
Speaking from personal experience of trying the Zapper-C, Zapper-Vyde & Battlax BT-45 tyres on the 220 on track where one can immediately feel the difference in confidence levels.
Michelin is going to enter the Indian tyre market launching tyres in most of the sizes for Indian Bikes.Originally posted by ajinkya View Postwhat are the developments from michilin

If Michelin does not show up in the next 1 week, I shall go back to Vyde.
IRC is available, but to me the Cost/Performance ratio was appealing. For paying about 40% more than the Mrf Vyde the difference in grip levels is hardly evident. Plus most of the IRC tyres are available in 130/70 format, I tried that on another 220 and din't like the feel of the profile while cornering, it was not as confidence inspiring as the Vyde. Somehow the Vyde feels just too Good!

but better tyre pattern can definetly improve grip.....so better hold on corners...= better handling..isnt it?Originally posted by santoosh View PostPayeng and others ,

In delhi both the tyres(mrf/irc) available at the same cost 1700rs. +-100rsOriginally posted by prafultripathy View PostIRC is available, but to me the Cost/Performance ratio was appealing. and also available in 120/80/17(2 threads are present and both seems to be good)
however I'm too using Vyde and quite impressive must say...but how come your tyre got bald in just 10K
Mine has run 15K and still good going.its all about CC...

I'm thinking of doing this once my new chain sprocket wears out in about 15-20K kmsOriginally posted by nitrosatya View PostThe new tyre will not drastically improve performance but considerably.Guys, what do you think about the new rear sprocket? The new bike has 36 teeth rear. And as per MG the new bike has lesser low end grunt. But that means higher top end.
.
I need the bike to be bit more relaxed at speeds of 100-120, dont mind loosing acceleration a bit
You guys are lucky, IRC here starts at upwards of 2.5K thats atleast in the shops that I checked.Originally posted by rohitmundra View PostIn delhi both the tyres(mrf/irc) available at the same cost 1700rs. +-100rs

Are you sure that IRC is available in 120/80? Here also 2 treads are available, but in 130/70. Prob with 130/70 is that the profile becomes a bit weird. Its good for straight line and extreme cornering, but while taking normal curves the contact patch reduces.
Well mine finished soon, coz I did a couple of high speed inter city runs, a track day, and a lil bit of off-roading.
Else it surely would have lasted a lot longer!

IRC is now available at 120/80 spec also?? I have got an IRC but its 130/70. I think I have noticed, since its bit low spec, the centre stands scraps a lot now these days"HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic
