Hello Guys,
The throttle position sensor seems to susceptible to fungus( or something along those lines) when water seeps into the contact terminal.
So Bajaj has come with something labelled TPS cover.

The rubber part wraps around the terminal and the adhesive tape is wound over it to keep the water away.
The mechanic at PBK added the component during my last service which was around a week back.
Oh btw, met Punisher at PBK the same day. Always feels good to meet a fellow xBhpian by chance!

Are they adding it to every P220 out there or just to a particular batch?Originally posted by theslayer View PostHello Guys,

I just completed a 3 day ride to Jalori pass and beyond.. and now my rear tyre has gone completely bald. Thinking between the MRF zapper vyde and the new 220 rear tyre. Any pointers ??
Requirement: Stability in all surfaces. Mileage and pickup is not an issue.

What I have gathered is that Chasis no. MD2DDHDKZZPCK**** & earlier models didn't have this TPS cover. Mine is MD2DDHDKZZRCF**** model. It already has

You won't get either. MRF factory has been on indefinite strike for the past 2 months now. If you do find someone selling a MRF it will most probably marked 30% about the usual price!Originally posted by Mik View PostI just completed a 3 day ride to Jalori pass and beyond.. and now my rear tyre has gone completely bald. I've been running a bald Zapper Vyde for the past 1 month now waiting...
The other options available to you would be something from IRC's stable or the Michelin sirac.
I'm waiting for the Michelin Sirac's re-launch which bout to happen within the next 1 week!
Edit:Between the Vyde is anyways soft compound and the new 220's is supposed to be soft compound. So only difference is between the profiles. The Vyde's are better off when it comes to cornering grip, but the straightline braking is a tad better then Zapper C. Else in all areas both tyres are almost equally matched!Last edited by Praful; 07-06-2009, 10:54 AM._________________________

Yea, the new default tyre in 220dtsi is a softer one.
Also, like the auto choke feature
also 36T sprocket(thats the reason for top end)
You can definitely try VYDE...I'm very much satisfiedOriginally posted by Mik View PostI just completed a 3 day ride to Jalori pass and beyond.. and now my rear tyre has gone completely bald. Thinking between the MRF zapper vyde and the new 220 rear tyre. Any pointers ??

I think as rx100.7050 pointed out, some have it by default and the older ones don't.Originally posted by Prongs View PostAre they adding it to every P220 out there or just to a particular batch?
Regarding the new P220 tyres ( ie MRF Zapper C), I noticed the (product) code on the tyre to be 19628 whereas the older ones have 19625.
Visually, I think this is the only identifier that differentiates the new soft compound tyres from the old one.Riot Engine |Norton WD 16H | BSA C11G |Enfield Fury

Riding in rain
Hey guys, there is this one thing which is bothering me about riding to office in this monsoon.
As my office is shifted and now it is 24 kms away from my place
, i am finding it really difficult to ride in this monsoon....
The main reason is as the riding position is different of 220 compared to commuters, the mud sprinkles and splashes directly come just below the knee right through till toes.....
i know that fixing that mudflap on the crash guard is definitely not an option, anybody found any other way out on this....sigpic
