I Guess Bajaj just wanted to phase off the bike and the parts altogether when they phase off a bike, including spares. I just don't think they have the courtesy to love their former customers. Phew!

Glad that you've changed it now.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I had posted about a leak from the fuel pump a few days back right after replacing the pump if you guys remember.

Post that, I was on a 5 day ride last to last weekend. In the middle of the ride, the leak started all over again. But in smaller quantities this time, so I continued my ride and got back to BLR.

So last this Sunday I go to PBK to fix this leak, since this a actually a 15 minute job .. After sitting for 4 hours with the leak unresolved it was finally figured out that the threads of the bolts on which the pump has been mounted have sheared off.

And the icing on the cake is that they don't have spare bolts... and on further research none of the automotive shops in the vicinity have those bolts!

Finally today evening they found the bolts!
Every time i hear some stories i end up praying Oh dear God today my fuel pump should pump well and fuelfilter should not become loose instead of praying for my heart and lungs.

When i was going to work, towards Marathali Bridge, i had to stop in the usual 10 am morning traffic jam in the crossing just before AOL building (m not sure abt the name of the place). After the signal to move ahead, to my horror, the bike didnt start. The speedometer didnt do the self-check. None of the electricals were working, except a readout on the speedo when i put it on, saying ECU 3.9 on the bottom.

I called my sales manager, who promptly forwarded the line to the breakdown service manager. After an hour, the breakdown service guys arrived at the location. The first thing the serviceman did was open the battery cover. All check, all good. Then he checked the wire bundle that's located inside the front fairing. He smiled at me, indicating that there was a loose connection. He just plugged it back and ALL SYSTEMS was GO. Everything, FREE of charge, of course.

Now, I m heading to Coorg this weekend, and I couldnt help but think if it had happened mid-way during that trip, in middle of some forest track. Hmm....
Similar thing happened with my bike but i was able to fix it myself.

Did you run the bike dry anytime ?

All the best its a 4.3K damage! And the new one is not as smooth as the OEM one that shipped with the bike.

Check if the forks are loose, loose forks tend to do that. Also check your coneset, if it is busted you might have wobbling, else get it tightened to the correct torque, all these will be taken care of by the SVC.

                          Cheers!

Finally changed to 36T sprocket i think this is the first chain change in 29k km.
Earlier was completely worn out from 23k km(when i bought) and managed it for 6 months till last week. The same chain in Twister will got loose, jammed and bent in under 20k km.
Again testimony for bajaj product quality.
Yet to check topspeed and i didnt notice any drop in pick up because of size change due to excessive damaged old chain.
Now the ride is butter smooth and enjoying it.

Guys I purchased a P220 from Dewan Bajaj ( Palam, New Delhi ) on 16/4/13. The dealer has still not delivered the original RC. I am running the bike on a temp RC which as per the dealer is valid for 3 months. The same dealer had also hassled me with the HSRP plates earlier which got installed due to my initiative. What the dealer is stating is that there is a shortage of RC cards in the Delhi Authority because of which the delay is caused! Somehow I am not willing to buy the story of the dealer. Please suggest as to whom can I approach to get the smartcard issued and expedited since the dealer seems least interested to work on the same.

Cornering angle depends from person to person. The issue is the center stand almost always scrapes even with 40 deg lean angle provided the tarmac condition. Try removing the center stand rubber dropped, it can increase the lean angle a bit.

Pestering him is the only solution until he gets the work done. Else shoot a mail to Bajaj. RC mostly will be given within a day or two.
