OH darn oh darn I thought it was from the starter motor which houses the solenoid, that's the starter coil brother. Jeez.

        Hi,

BCU is just brand new one.

I've checked the all connection in the wiring harness. clean all the connections with de-corrosive spray. remove all the sulphur from the connections. but problem is still going on.

It seems to be some problem ECU which is initially not properly sending the signal to Speedo console and as it it start running its start sending signal to the speedo console. this problem happen once the microprocessor in ECU become week after long running or for some short circuit/sensor problem in the wiring line.

Now just waiting to check the ECU before purchase the new one.

ECU directly doesn't send power to the BCU, BCU single handedly handles all the power, meaning amperages to the bulbs, switches, etc etc electronic items in the bike. What exactly is the problem with your bike, if you can expand a little further, that'd be great.

              Hi B7ACKTHORN ,

My bike main problem is with the malfunction light.

When i start the cold in morning it'll start with one self without any problem but with the malfunction light on.

After running few kms if i stop the engine and start again the malfunction light goes off.

But if try to pick up to high speed the malfunction light again on.

But if i stop the bike and start the engine and run the bike very gently smoothly within 45-55 kmph the malfunction will not on.

Also when the malfunction light is on my bike engine sometimes stop, so need to start the bike again.

This is what is main problem now days i'm facing with bike.

The KTM service guys (old PBK service guys) in kolkata told me that the it was the ECU who is doing the this disco.

Do you have any idea about this problem.

              Regards,

it is the ecu...or some sensor that has sensed a problem.....for this ul need a professional pbk to do a proper diagnosis ..

ECU is the one that controls the timing, fuel injection etc all that relates to the whole engine, now if the engine stalls when malfunction light glows, it's definitely related to the ECU or just try doing an ECU reset from PBK and they should help you. But make sure you stay there and get the job done. Because no matter what the job they do, it's imperative that you stay there and overlook and test drive it then and there.

                  Cheers!

Kolkata has no PBK service center from i can reset the my bike ECU.

The kolkata PBK outlet closed almost 8 months back and the problem start for the FI guys in kolkata.

Is there any other way to reset the ECU.

Very sad to hear this bro. Unfortunately, this is mostly the case with 220 Fi owners everywhere. I have come to know that most have started coverting their FI to carb.

ECU reset should be done only by a Trained PBK personnel who is adept at dealing with FI (Fuel Injected syste) As this system is kinda the nerve center of the bike, it shouldn't be messed with someone with limited or no knowledge with FI tuning.

And converting an FI to carb isn't an easy process, but it can be done. Requires a lot of patience though.

                              Electrically ?
                              Or rusty visible electrical ?

Better to spray and then clean the visible rust with a cloth.
No issue in this process I guess.

yes rusty visible electricals...most of the time my bike is parked in open space in rain. so i thought WD40 will help keep the rust away.
actually i am facing battery discharge problem.
last sunday i found battery got discharged out of nowhere and after recharging it was working good.
suddenly today on 1st start-up afternoon time bike refused to start and low battery indicator started displaying.
i tried my luck in the evening and bike started in 1st self start.
