    • Hi Guys...I am facing a wierd problem here...I had my front fork oil changed today from a local mechanic...He used some 'Endurance' brand oil..poured around 350 ml bottle equally in both forks...But now after that I am feeling that the front suspensions have become very stiff...I am even feeling small holes on the road like big holes ..When I asked the mechanic he said that it will become normal in 3-4 days..but I am really concerned...please help...Did I use the wrong oil? Which brand oil should I use?..

Mate, if he used the Endurance Fork Oil and if you are sure of the originality of the Oil, be sure, it is the best one for your Bike.

As for pouring in 350 mls each in both forks, I seriously doubt because as per the company manual, its should be aprox. 145 ml for each fork.

if the front Suspension is feeling stiff, please get it checked, its quite possible that he might have over filled the shocks which are not giving the proper cushioning effect. go to a shocker wala, tell him everything and am sure he will be able to sort it out for you. The problem at times is too less or too much oil...You fill in too less of it, they would be over soft, as if working without pressure, a bit too more of oil will make you feel as if you are riding a shocker less Bike.

        All the best!

I have sent an email to [email protected], and the dealer [email protected] last night. Lets see what happens next. I still have not received a reply on this. But I ll make sure I get this done. Won't let them go so easily. Thanks Guys for the Motivation
ya dude u should not let these people go off so easily..its ur hard earned money which u`ve invested..in my experience its the higher hh personnel who get the job done asap..the service advisers are just concerned about their pay cheque at month end and during the month they harass innocent customers like us..only when they get a call from higher authority they start working..

              Pls write in normal letters.
The purpose of choke is that. So, in any bike it would be normal. Let the bike idle for a little while before you start off and yes the first 1 KM odd would not be crisp.

DCS is right. Endurance fork oil is a good one if not the best and many bikes come with that factory filled. But I have seen a very cheap fork oil with Endurance name too. But the good thing is - one look at the can and you will definitely know that is it not a good one even if you don;t know how the original looks like.

Now the Karizma's forks need about 145ml oil each. I think it is 143ml. If he has used the whole can (350ml) for both the forks, you are bound to feel the suspension to be very stiff. Even for less than 10ml extra it felt stiffer.

if you do all types of roads then 20K KMs is a good idea.

                • The zma R has the telltale 'R' stickering, the additional engine belly and the matt black engine finish. No other difference

The carb costs around 2.4k IIRC.
What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

                  • Electrical Problems

I fitted osram headlamps and roots spider eco dual horns for my ZMA, as of now my electrical are not functioning properly, horns get low when headlamps are on but are up when headlamps are switched off, self start doesn't work at times also.
There is a relay fxed for the horns, at times only one of the horns functions and the other one doesn't and sometimes both,
I feel my batteries are going weak any suggestions as to what is wrong.
I want to get my electrical s checked up, can any body suggest me a mechanic or a workshop where i can get it checked up

I faced the same problem a month after installing osram nightbreaker. I went to a local battery dealer and had the battery checked. He tested it using a battery tester and reported that the battery was weak. He insisted on replacing the battery, but since it was still under warranty I did not agree. I asked him to top up the water and try recharging. It cost me Rs.30 and after that the battery and electricals were back to normal. Now I am using a 35W HID and there is no battery drain. Hope this helps.

                            • ^^^ dual trumpet horns + 55/60W silver star setup ran on Ravi's bike for over an year without any issues. Then the silver star was replaced by the Nightbreaker. No issues. Later horns went bad. That was rectified and a relay was placed for the horns. No issues. Overall, in two years no issues. The battery went down the natural way in about 2.5 years.

                                Thanks
