Since you seem not to know anything about it,take it to a mech and get him to do it.Observe and learn so you can do it next time.otherwise,
In the tool kit under the seat there is a box spanner . use the 18mm end of it,and slide over the spark plug to sit firmly, then insert the bar,or if you don't have it, the screw driver end,til it goes threw one hole in the box spanner and exit about 1 cm on the other. Now press on the bar anti clockwise and loosen the plug.turn the plug till it is completely out.

    • Its ASHWIN!!! Not ASWIN...

And today had a meeting with SVC after they got my complaint, they took my bike up and disassembled the front brake assemby, washed it with petrol and sanded it, Brakes work fine... But now noticed another thing after i got my bike serviced..

They said they'd take care of it during the next service and made me mail them an acknowledgement on the spot on their own computers.

That'll not be there at all sir. You are a great help, with your guidance only I tuned in my bike's mechanics, infact touched all these things for the first time and it's going really good.
Only with your help I have started to learn how things actually work.
Thanks for all you have given to this thread and forum.

My first line is what i actually meant..that i trust
My comments were meant to be jovial ,and in lighter vain...
I always try my best to be of help...and if it works i am really happy.
Taking care of your bike is not tough, all it needs is lots of patience to learn and try,and a good set of tools.
Do you ride your Ninja regularly ? you need to keep the battery charged and try to keep new petrol in tank as much as possible, since Ninja is fuel injected and old petrol may affect the pump

Not at all psr , didn't you see the smiley ? I've marked you as one of the active guys who knows quite something about what he's posting . It was said in good humor . That comment , I think , came from reading posts on 'instructables.com' . BTW , it's a good site for a diy guy.

I know that you said in good humor and i replied in the same way...but somehow the words went in wrong order i guess..my bad..and I am honored to see the assurances i get, lest i mistook the words.

A little found trait these days- willingness to admit that you know little as well as willingness to share what little you know!
I would've chipped in my 25ps (it's dead as of day before) worth if the forum was RX100 and I still had it with me ( had ripped it inside out-still hav the workshop manual)..But as it is , I'm just learning the basics of ZMA R .
The launch of P180 had me wanting 'India's 1st "sports bike" ' . .bad decision-took my back to the cleaners and never felt any attachment to it . Yummy engine though if you like to flick gears !
My ZMA R (18 months old now , 2 months with me) on the other hand makes me want to live the life I had with RX100 .
Am planning a short trip with better half after the monsoons - something @ a 100 km one way to test how good the condition of the man and the machine is.
Oops if this is a bit OT . But couldn't help commenting about you.

                    • Anyone heard about an additive called System G ? It's used for cleaning deposits in the fuel system . Being a member of PUG (Palio User's Group) , I heard (good things) in that forum . Today I visited their site . It doesn't say "2 wheelers" anywhere , but says "carburetor" linked with cars .
                      The link is
                      IFTEX OIL & CHEMICALS LTD.
If it could be used in ZMA R with good results , then I think trouble-shooting would be just half as difficult as it is now .

                      • @PSR,
Sir can you please explain what a rotor filter is and what its purpose is?

Cause Vaishak said they opened his crank case to clean his rotor filter so when i went to SVC today asked them about it and they said they'd also done the same to my bike, Which wasnt actually surprising cause i saw a yellow zma's crank case opened which was brought in for first service. And the mech who repairs zma's is actually the owner of a 2011 ZMA-R bought a month back, So his chances of error also seem to be less.. So it would be really helpful if you'd be able to provide us with a final verdict on the same.

System G is for petrol driven engines, and it works..If you want something better you can home brew it...like i was suggesting some time back...
Get pure Acetone from Lab suppliers..it is Rs.180/- per 500ml
Get Castrol power1 2T in foil pack of 40ml.(or in plastic can if you wish)
Add 1.5ml of acetone per liter of petrol in tank along with 2 ml of 2T oil per liter...You will get the same effect if not better.
I am using this brew in all my engines.

There is a centrifugal filter attached to the crankshaft for filtering sediments in oil through centrifugal effect. this filter needs to be cleaned once in 25 K or more depending on the level and type of maintenance.
This is what had been referred to as rotor filter....Part 2 along with components in straight line against it ,is the rotary filter... The oil pump sits behind it
