Thanks. My concern is that water will invariably get in even during washing if there is a opening somewhere.
Any way the meter can be opened up and resealed with silicone or any other sealant?

      Hello Bikers,

I am not sure if this is the right place to share this information and I request the mods to place it right and share the feedback.

All of us we do a lot of research before buying our Dream Machines; however, sometimes the Machine starts troubling us within a short span of time(My Karizma had a manufacturing defect in the Cylinder). This is the time when we look for the right people to complain with. Since, I have faced the same in the past, here are the numbers of Hero Moto corporate offices that you can contact if your SVC people are not listening to you, not helpful, or are unable to sort out your issues.

      Delhi: 011-26533981/26533982

      Dehradoon: 0135-2724661/2724662/2724665(Ask for Mr Manoj)

Manoj is the Head of the Service, Warranty and Maintenance, Hero Moto, North India.

Trust me that your problem will be sorted out way faster than you think.

Also, I've one more question for our experts and I know it is an over discussed one. Please excuse me for this as there are still some doubts out there. I am going to fit an Osram Silverstar 60/55 H4 P 43 type Headlight bulb on my Karizma. Would I need to make any sort of modifications before I actually do it.

      Keep Riding, Keep smiling!!!

        Hey all!
Was a little busy for the past few weeks. So missed my daily routine of staying updated on the posts here. Have some 20 pages of content to read now..

Sad news is I have to part with my zma. Im going to the US for an MBA. So no one is there to ride my bike here when am gone. So sadly, I have to give it away. If any one of you knows someone who wants a zma do let me know. Will be easier to give it to someone known rather than a complete stranger. Cheers and happy riding!

The zma will take a 55/60w bulb without any modifications. The light output will be greater than a 35w bulb. But if you want the max output of a 55/60w bulb, get a relay installed. It is definitely worth the effort!

Thanks a lot MAXzma. Would you recommend a particular brand for Relay?

Is this the same relay used on a car? With two lights holding provision. Right nd left as in a car?

I use an unbranded car headlight relay. Just got the relay box from an automobile shop for Rs180 and did the wiring myself. Its been almost two years now and still works like a charm!

Just one question, what role does the relay play here??

Lets you tap power directly from the battery.

You right ashwinprakas, it is a Feb 2011 Model. After the very first service, I could hear a Click sound coming out from the head of the engine. It took me a lot of efforts and time to get it rectified. However, the problem seems to have resurfaced. Please share whatever you know about it.

Common issue with first batch 2011 Karizma's. They run on the cylinder kit made by SUN(I hope the name is correct) if the bike is ridden hard then there will be partial seizure, same thing happened to my June 2011 bike soon after ownership and had the cyl kit replaced under warranty to the new ones with Piston made from Usha. No issue since. But if you ride slow then nothing to worry about, iirc a fellow 2011 ZMA owner(Jerin bro or Vishak bro) had the same screeching sound comming from the cyl on acceleration, he never bothered to get it rectified and still running on the same cyl without any issues to the best of my knowledge.

Mine came with stock 6ah battery, ive used 5ah battery from my Kiney on the ZMA, I dont have a relay, but do use windtones that tap power directly from the battery via a relay, and OSRAM Dela 55/60 HL. And yet no issues. We have many ZMA ownere here using HL relay.

Today changed my handle bars to the Hunk ones and it does makes a difference. The handles are different the Hunk ones are a little bit shorter and bit less taller but thats enough to make a difference. Now I feel more in control, I didnt went for the pulser 180 ones since I would have to run to and forth to the machine shop to drill holes in the handle bar for the stopper studs in the switch assembly. But any way the handle bar is good its heavier than the stock ones as well. One thing that surprised me was the extra wibes now present in the handle but its addictive and feels like my bike has come alive and is asking for more. Its good and finally the cost - the handles cost me 213 rs and are mat finish black.
