It is news to me...in fact normally SVc will not do it at all as it involves opening the case and refitting with so many bolts, and replacement of gasket...The filter here accumulates sludge and traps it from going into circulation.Sludge forms only with bad oil, long oil change interval,or doing only top up and not changing oil at all....all this happens only with bad maintenance over a period of time, never in a new bike.

When they opened the engine for gasket change ,the svc man told me ,they wont replace gaskets unless a customer complaint about oil leaks as i did.

Taking care of your bike is not tough, all it needs is lots of patience to learn and try,and a good set of tools.
Do you ride your Ninja regularly ? you need to keep the battery charged and try to keep new petrol in tank as much as possible, since Ninja is fuel injected and old petrol may affect the pump
Sorry, couldn't post since yesterday and was uable to take a picture of the spark plug, will do that tommorrow. Was busy in some family issue, my cousin met with an accident.
Actually, both of bikes are not ridden regularly as my office is in Noida henceforth some parking problems are there. Karizma is ridden daily but not more than 10KMS and on weekends some short rides thats why I am unable to post results soon and Ninja is ridden just twice or thrice a week and usually taken for some long rides only.

Why you want to spend 10K yaar...get a tyre with good grip, that should be enough!!!
Last years??!!! Clear it ASAP please. Btw Amit, what tires are you using and where did you get it from (supposedly from B'lore?). I roamed around JC road today asking for M45 3*18 and 4*18 for the front and rear. Tried about 4 shops, and none had them in stock. Plus, some of them said Michelin doesn't make tires of those sizes, I quietly left. Please recommend the ones which you frequent.

OT: Today evening, saw an xBhpain on a red ZMA-R. Desc of the bike - aftermarket exhaust, xBhp logo on rear mudguard, black raincoat, with a bag/something tied up to the rear seat with a bungee chord. A KA 06 registration. Your exhaust note was quite interesting, K&N filter? I was next to you in the busy traffic for a couple of seconds (it was raining) - infront of the Le Meridian hotel, Near Windsor manor hotel, Bangalore. My ride - red, stock ZMA-R. If you read this, reply!

Get pure Acetone from Lab suppliers..it is Rs.180/- per 500ml
Get Castrol power1 2T in foil pack of 40ml.(or in plastic can if you wish)
Add 1.5ml of acetone per liter of petrol in tank along with 2 ml of 2T oil per liter...You will get the same effect if not better.
I am using this brew in all my engines.
Sir,is acetone available onlineI searched but could not find
It would be great if you can share the link if it is available for online purchase.

Accident was minor but the injuries are damn seriously major.
