OOps ..psr - guess short term memory loss is setting in - I'd read that post earlier but remembered it only after reading this post.

The single pack had price of 600 bucks and was offered 550. He did not have a twin pack. ONB Plus is around 900 buck a pair. The ONB bulb looks muscular compared to Philips Extreme Vision.

Not for prolonged use comes from Wikipedia.
Boric acid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Based on mammalian median lethal dose (LD50) rating of 2,660 mg/kg body mass, boric acid is poisonous if taken internally or inhaled in large quantities. However, it is generally considered to be not much more toxic than table salt.
Long term exposure to boric acid may be of more concern, causing kidney damage and eventually kidney failure (see links below). It does not appear to be carcinogenic.
It is less lethal than Table Salt, which we consume everyday..

I know that Whitish will not serve the purpose during misty conditions. I'm well aware about this.

To my knowledge it is whitish with tinge of yellow and not towards blue. So in my opinion this Extreme vision should be giving good throw and intensity of light. (Hope!)

I got ur point but wondering why we don't use it as insect repellant as much as we used to ..

It has become costly...we look for cheaper and much advertised options.
Ant repellant to-day consists of boric Acid+Gammaxene.....and the traditional broom which by far is best, because like us the ants and insects have also started using shoes and so the toxin cannot affect them

              • If we bore holes in the air filter cover of maybe 1 mm dia as shown in the pic , will it aid breath-ability ? What will be the effect ?

you will have an overbored air filter may be more dust and grime clogging the air filter...

How more dust and grime ? Any particle above the dia of the hole won't get in . So the air filter will be much cleaner . Some days back I checked my air filter and on almost on all the folds there were bits of paper sticking to it. If the present 'air-hole' is adequate for supplying the air then it won't make much difference except for filtering the bigger particles. If I remember correct , it's only about the size of the 'air-hole' I had in my RX100.

Sir, ZMA lacks engine kill switch, so is there any harm in shutting down the engine using choke???

Main reason is that its real hard to ride in heavy traffic cause most of the time we'll be stationary and meddling with the ignition isnt a pleasant thing, considering the time it'll take to start and also considering the fact that am lazy.

                          AddInfo.
Went on a 100km ride today on my ZMA after the ride its clocked 900kms.
Riding speed was 80kmph @ 5k(close). And in between a P220 guy started to race, I let him pass so that his confidence got high then finished him at 115kmph @ 6-7k(not sure cause I was'nt in a position to properly monitor it under these riding conditons), did the above a few times and finally rode off at 120kmph(close) and never saw him again. After the ride there are a few + and -ves.

+My bikes smooth like butter, Cause now i can rev my bike all the way till 8k(wont go into red) in 1st gear itself without any vibes, cause before I had faced vibes nearing 4k cause that was my constant riding speed.

-Have no idea how but i found a 25cm long thick scratch on my front fairing. And now my fairing rattles abit(only I can hear it).

Refrain killing the engine using choke. It is for different purpose and also you can as well turn off and on the key to be ready to push button start again.

Good that you started to open the throttle, that's great. However, going on a high speed is something you need to be careful. I hope you are wearing protection gear while doing short rides.

Amit and myself did some 120 at a stretch during our road trip in KA. I did not experience any vibes until I reached 110 and mirror started to show some vibes that I could not see it clearly.

I would think there are morons who cannot keep off seeing new bikes, want to mark and definitely might not have caused due to high speed sprint.

Didnt it increase your airflow? and you will feel hiccups because of less fuel and more air,try opening the airfilter cover and start your bike and rev,you will find out that.

Symptoms of engine settling. Right? and remember to get the oil changed @ 1000kms.

Hmm...Why Hero Honda Why??? . But still I love my bike

Thanks for reminding me about safety gear, All I have for now is a MotoCross type Vega helmet, And I have to say, Its a blessing for people like me who use specs cause now am able to ride at high speeds even while its raining, thanks to the HAT like projection.(Dont know what its called)

Amit and myself did some 120 at a stretch during our road trip in KA. I did not experience any vibes until I reached 110 and mirror started to show some vibes that I could not see it clearly.

I believe its cause you have a rough patch at 6.5/6.75(approx.) and i guess thats the reason you get vibes at 110 cause I remember exactly that my bike was smooth upto 120. Just like yours my bike has a rough patch at 4-4.75 RPM You'll have to pay extra attention to notice it.(Same symptoms of mirror vibes and all)

I would think there are morons who cannot keep off seeing new bikes, want to mark and definitely might not have caused due to high speed sprint.

The P220 was also new. Event though ZMA won on straight stretch, I'll have to say when it comes to tightly packed roads the torque monster will definitely win, cause I remember getting shocked seeing the P220's front jump when he downshifted and accelerated to overtake me(Remember both of us had pillions ).
Replies in BOLD. Would like to hear more from you regarding the rough patch issue.
