I got my Karizma about a month ago, but I don't ride it regularly as I am either working from home or take the bus to work. Though the bike has few glitches, I still love it for the experience it's able to deliver. ( Just yesterday I got back from my native place, and started the bike after 7 days and it sprang to life just on the second kick without choke!)Anyway, as I said before, the bike has few glitches and I am hoping to get them all rectified fully or to some extent. It wouldn't be fair if I just let the glitches stay, while the bike has been so faithful and trustworthy in serving me. I wanted to make sure that there wasn't much info posted here before asking a question, and I think there isn't yet. Also I just went out for a night ride to observe the bike's sound/feel and putting down the points. After reading PSR sir's post below, I just couldn't stop myself from posting.

I initially thought that my shifting technique is not exactly correct, as I am more of a lazy shifter and a slow rider. When I shift gears, I completely stop throttling, then press the clutch fully and shift, and this whole op takes about 1.5-2.5 seconds which is pretty slow IMO. And my 2to3, 3to4, 4to5 shifts (& vice versa) are usually when the engine's around 2k to 3.5k rpms. Also I don't cross 60kmph/4k rpm unless I need to overtake another vehicle. Please guide me if I need to correct something here, if not, please let me know your shifting habits as I can try those.
My upshifts too aren't that good either. But compared to the downshift, maybe I need to use 50% of the total force I use for downshifting. But again, its not as smooth as the much older P150 I referred to, earlier.
As I didn't know what oil this bike was running on, I thought the tough gears would be solved after I change the oil completely. Just today I had gotten the oil drained completely and filled in a new can of Gulf Pride plus 4t 20W40 grade oil, with the help of a mechanic. Soon after the change, I religiously used the kick starter with ignition off, as I think it would help spreading the oil, then started the bike and revved the engine for about 15 seconds while stationary around 2k rpm. Then rode the bike within 45kmph for about couple of kms. Later today, I have ridden a total distance of about 25km today after oil change + warm up.
I feel there's a minor improvement with the gear hardness now, but its almost insignificant. As I still need to use quite a lot of pressure whenever I shift gears. Please guide me how, I should go about researching this issue.

PM me if you need more info.
