Your tightening method is ok...why do you have to adjust the cluth every 100 Kms ?...I had done 1,000 Kms with out clutch or drive chain adjustment. If the clutch cable is spurious..ie., not good and a Fake , only then cable will be stretched every 100 Kms.
okie, i got the freeplay thing messed up

i bought the cable from the ASS and its the oldest and the most reliable ASS in my city, maybe it was some manufacturing defect
if this continues i will change it again

    thnx again for your help
i am growing old, but not up!

        • questions from my end. Now that my bike has done close to 40k. what are the changes required. I checked if the timing chain and cam tensioner should be replaced but the showroom guys said it was fine and it was not required. I have not decarbonized the engine, what are the after effects if not done?. any other parts to be changed?should the wiring kit be changed?

P.S - Clutch plates, chain sproket and cables have been changed at 25k kms.

Two strokes are more prone to carbon deposit problem than 4 strokes...so at 40 K not needed....80 K ....may be.
The life of timing chain and tensioner is purely dependent on driving style..If you rip your bike regularly, WITH SUDDEN ACCELERATION(twist of throttle) then your timing chain and tensioner will fail early...at 25 to 30 K.A sane rider who doesn't do sudden acceleration regularly can expect 60 to 80 K on odo before needing replacement.....IF The bike start to ping and knocking is heard even with correct gearing and RPM shifts...then it is time to change the timing chain and tensioner.
Otherwise you had just about changed the normal wear items at 25 K Kms....which is the normal change interval for the items.

Aneesh had spent quite a bit of time with his bike to make it what it is now...ask him he will help you out...or you can also submit the list of your bike's problem ,and we will try to make it good...I am sure your carb breather tube is in place and routed properly....
Aneesh 's bike is 2005 if I am not mistaken and the Ignition timing is totally different to give better pick up and speed.

Either his oil is bad or the top two gears are not in position on shifting...what is the ODO reading of his bike, which year and riding style ?
