It's been more than 6 yrs with the motorcycle and no battery issues reported so far apart from the scheduled replacement.

Your mileage will increase by a high margin for sure.
You will feel hiccups as you were running very rich before. so 3 anticlockwise turns means a bit lean,That's why you feels hiccups @ higher rpms,i have the same problem before tuning AFR screw, after setting it to 4 turns, now engine is smooth till 8k rpm, dont want to push more than that.

              Also as harishsangwan said,check airfilter,if clogged,replace the filter,its 205rs.

LED from philips(5W 4000K) will cost you nearly 1500rs and is rarely available in India.

Thanks a lot bro Got the required bulbs for my bike, your suggestions were very informative, Thanks again

so now that the feeder is changed, is there a change in the power delivery. ?

                    • Went on a small shopping spree in JC road last evening and bought the following:

                      Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20w40 - Rs 225 for 1L

Waxpol Bearing Grease(the guy told he doesn't have the Castrol one and told this does the job) - Rs 40 for 200gm

                      Philips Premium 55/60W headlight - Rs 85

                      3M Liquid Wax Polish - Rs 85

A pair of Pilot Lamp LED's - Rs 20 each

X shaped box spanner with 4 different sized heads - Rs 40

                      Boric Powder - Rs 26 for 20gm

Couldn't wait till morning to check out the headlight so after dinner changed the headlight and one of my pilot lamps were already blown so replaced them too. My old headlight was a Philips Blue Vision 55/60W and differences which I noticed immediately were:

-The intensity of light coming out of the bulb seemed to be more.
-Low Beam had the same spread and brightness.
-Could not check the high beam as all the roads around my home are well lit.
-The yellowish light of the Philips Premium lit the wet road better! In rains the Blue Vision was hopeless.

The pilot lamps my old LED's costed 80 bucks each and they had better spread of light but the new 20 buck ones had a more focussed light(like our regular LED's).

The grease, yet to try it out. Will do it in the weekend.

The oil change too planning to do it this weekend with the boric powder. Hope the results are good!

Have you completed more than 12,000 Kms ? if not do not add the Boric Acid in the engine oil...If you have then go ahead and do it.
Remember to drive for at least 40 kms after adding the boric acid powder mix....effects are more at near 500Kms and near 800 to 1000 kms.
I think there is going to be scarcity of boric acid soon
                        Good luck.

They cost about 325/- and it is more brighter than you get in retail. These OEM bulbs are from Germany.

Pair? Its a single bulb right? And where will I get them? Mahindra showrooms or service centers? I have installed the Philips Premium last night. Low beam looks good. Will post high beam reviews after this weekend's ride.

Amit said my pilot lamps look brighter and was able to see small amount of throw on the ground. .

                            @Amit:- Post pics please.

Good one sir! My bike has done a little over 42,000 kms. Took the Boric acid decision after reading your posts in the boric acid thread. Will add it in the weekend just before starting for my weekend ride. So it will be like at least a 100 km of continuous riding after adding the oil+Boric acid mix before the engine stops.

If you had done 42 k on odo then you can try with 30 Gms of Boric Acid..will give good results..
