Sriram, yes you are right, there are two versions, Sirac and Sirac Street. I thought there was a Sirac Street manufactured for India and imported (I think I'm wrong in this), Then, the Sirac was not imported anymore and TVS made the current Skidrac Street. At least, that was what I understood. If anyone has more information, I'd be happy to know it, just like you!

I was just looking at Michelin Asia findTyre - motorcycle.michelin.asia , appears they only have Sirac and not the 'street' variant. That Anakee tyre looks amazing. No M45 available though, sadly.
Edit : http://moto.michelin.co.uk/tyre-selector#s=0 the UK site seems to carry the M45 - just look at the range they have!

Well then in that case Grey would be a better option but AFAIK that color has a long waiting period.

            Hi Guys,

Sorry, haven't been regular in this community (travelling job, less time).

I had been to Murudeshwar from bangalore (482kms), riding solo earlier this week. The bike performed exceptionally well, I could cover the distance in about 11 hrs, inclusive of all breaks. After reaching murudeshwar, I experienced heavy rains there and rode for about 200 kms covering surrounding places.

Does anyone around here face problems in your ZMA after riding/parking in heavy rain for long hours? I didnt face any problems when I was riding, but this morning when I wanted to start early from Murudeshwar to reach bangalore, the bike gave me problems during starting. It took some twenty minutes to start (man, never happened before). Also, I started observing of late that while using the electric start, sometimes the "digital" screen goes blank and the timer and trip meter resets. Is this normal when the battery is weak? Someone please guide me.

Also, this chain-sprocket kit seems to just go on and on. I have done about 42k KMS on my zma and the mechanic says it is fine. I doubt this very much since the chain becomes "loose" very often and I need to adjust it. It would be really helpful if someone guides me on above two points. If it has already been answered elsewhere in this thread, please paste the link.

            Awaiting replies.

            Cheers,

            Karthik

I bought a Black ZMA. The day the bike was delivered, I saw someone taking home a gray one and i sighed. Gray looks good, specially the new one. Roadside parking in India + Karizma = lot of eyes. Specially on the plastics. Be careful.

            Cheers,

When Bike is left in rain two possibilities for non starting of engine.....Rain drops have formed a wet short on the Spark Plug/plug cap, Dew condensation in carburetor, and inside On/Off switch leading to problems....

Guy's I know its weird last week I changed my bikes spark plug to "NGK G Power DPR 8EGP 9" and the strange thing is that my bike started to develop starting trouble not severe but my started to need choke for starting in the morning and once started its idling was uneven for bit time and there was added vibes aswell plus it became really hard on my bike to cross 110 km/h. Now its all been back to normal since I took off the G power and put the normal plug back in. I wonder why this happened after so many good reviews about the G power about increased acceleration and mileage.

One more thing while on G power my bike was roaring if I try a hard or a medium level acceleration. By roaring meaning the bike was behaving like a Splendour given extra throttle knowing the fact that it wont pull but still give it some more and we can hear the engine screaming and coughing

Exactly same thing happend with my 220 while using G power but after shifting back to the stock one's bike was normal.
Because of this reason my toughts of buying costly iridium plugs was burried.

Most probably you guys were running on plugs not suitable for your bike.
Afaik the ngk iridium for p220 is cr8eIX, look for the corresponding g-power part no.

After taking out the G power I plugged it to the spark plug cap and fired the starter to my surprise or to my eyes or because of viewing angle I found the spark to be much less bright than compared to the normal ones, I am not going to switch my spark plug anymore.

Because of my working time I find the roads deserted buy others at 2 in the early morning and most often take my bike to 120 or more almost every day. But with ngk G power all I get was my bikes engine roar but thank fully after reveting to normal plug its feels so damn good again

The correct NGK model for Karizma is CPR8EIX9 and it costs 550+ rs.

I am planning to use it on my ZMA but now reading the last few feedbacks I am kind of confused.. could anyone else who are using NGK on the karizma, write their opinion about this? I am desperately waiting for last 2 months in Jaipur to get a plug of this model, Hopefully I will get one within this month.. and as Shabeer Khan, I too reach/cross 120+ on my ZMA almost everyday. And guys, I am facing one more problem.. the trip meter is resetting automatically.. what could be the reason?

If you're traveling 60+ km per day then iridium will be suited else use stock plug or g power, the above problems doesn't happen to everyone, could be a manufacturing defect.

Would you mind explaining why so? I had been using ngk iridiums on my p200 for more than 4 years. They ensured way better cold starts, actually started in one push of the button, slightly better fuel economy(may 2kmpl or so), better throttle response and the best part was never required a change.
And my 200's running was only 5000km/ year still I got all the above benefits.
