Ok cool...i guess i will have to check the CO level of my bike tmw. Nehow hows the lights on ur bike?Originally posted by inder.cool View PostI do check it after every 2 months.....!! and also during the servicing time...
A question to every1......The bikes got a peculiar problem when in 1st or 2nd gear and if i am going slow lets say at around 10kmph during the traffics normally, there is a slight clanking noise as if the gear is getting into place. I have checked and the bike is actually in gear but still the sound comes as if the gears are loose or may be the clutch plate but most probably from the left side if u r seated on bike.....any take on this question?

Dude how do you check the CO level of your ZMA , are u talking about the pollution certificate which shows the CO level of the Bike.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostI do check it after every 2 months.....!! and also during the servicing time...

Mate whenever i change gears on my ZMA esp 1st and 2 nd the sound is quite evident, regarding the clanking noise........do u get it continuously or instantaneously? and do u get it only in lower gears while changing ?.....i get a tad tad sound from the front only while changing 1st and 2nd gear but that probably is due to a loose or broken bearing in the handle.........regarding your problem ,if u elaborate then maybe we can suggest something.Originally posted by uniZma View PostOk cool...i guess i will have to check the CO level of my bike tmw. Ok let me try and explain. As stated previously I was not talking about the "clanking" noise that you get when you change the gears. I am speaking about a noise that is heard from the gearbox side of the bike "After" changing the gears. This does not occur at a speed above 20kmph but in stop and go traffic conditions where the speed is usually below 15kmph the same kind of noise comes that you hear when changing gears.Originally posted by TrueBlueBikeR View PostMate whenever i change gears on my ZMA esp 1st and 2 nd the sound is quite evident, regarding the clanking noise........do u get it continuously or instantaneously? and do u get it only in lower gears while changing ?.....i get a tad tad sound from the front only while changing 1st and 2nd gear but that probably is due to a loose or broken bearing in the handle.........regarding your problem ,if u elaborate then maybe we can suggest something.
It feels as if the gears are loose or something and getting into place when releasing the clutch but actually the bike is already in gear.

Rather i meant that i take it to my regular mech.....he only checks it thru some instrument(dunno its name, but will ask him abt it the next time i go)....!!
Ohh, thanx for asking dude..!!Originally posted by uniZma View PostOk cool...i guess i will have to check the CO level of my bike tmw. Nehow hows the lights on ur bike?
Its working absolutely fine...!! The change is pretty much noticable from the 35W to the 60W bulb...!!

yesterday when i took by ZmA above 100kmph she started to knock real bad, it was as if the engine is gonna shut and again come back to life.this kept happening until i reduced the speed to below 100.today again the same problem, this happens only in speeds above 100-105 and she just dosent go above this speed.
what could be the reason??
plz HELPi am growing old, but not up!

Thats somewhat similar to the issue I am facing. my zma also refuses to go beyond 105 and theres too much vibration at speeds above 80....I think its to do with the tuning of the carb. it must be set to lean.Originally posted by abhash View Postyesterday when i took by ZmA above 100kmph she started to knock real bad, it was as if the engine is gonna shut and again come back to life.this kept happening until i reduced the speed to below 100.today again the same problem, this happens only in speeds above 100-105 and she just dosent go above this speed.

you mean to say, in stop go traffic you go little ahead(5-10kmph for 5-10 meters) then just before stopping again, you pull in the clutch and there is a *clank* noise from the gearbox area?

Yes exactly u hit the nail in the head...infact it happens when releasing the clutch as well but only in slow speeds. It does not happen if the road is clear and the clutch is let go cleanly when changing gears.Originally posted by Ho0ligaN View Postyou mean to say, in stop go traffic you go little ahead(5-10kmph for 5-10 meters) then just before stopping again, you pull in the clutch and there is a *clank* noise from the gearbox area?
@inder.....dude i got a night breaker fixed today .....i knew the light will be good in karizma headlamp housing. I question though, how do u adjust the horizontal level of the low beam its too close to the bike right now.

spares in trivandrum are a big problem. besides they are very expensive. a pair of brake pads cost 1200, whereas for most other bikes its 700-750.but in kollam you ll get the spares and in ernakulam i feel you should get the spares though iam not sure. even 220's spares are hard to find with the dealers in kerala.if you are asking why there are more 220's and 200 then i believe it depends on an individual's choice and moreover the salesperson in most of the HH showrooms acts as customer repellant.Originally posted by prakash_mvpa View Postguys with ZMA's in kerala? please share your ownership experience? How is the spares availability?is it really hard to get the spare front cowl if it got damaged?why there is very low numbers of zmas?even though p200 and p220s are in great numbers?
please share your experience.

There's one screw just below the speedo console....that is used to adjust the headlight setting.....which is used to make it either up or down....so go to any mech and get it adjusted from there....
