  • Yesterday I took my bike after servicing from Paras Yamaha. The buggers took 2 days to service the bike and in the end tell that sir your fork is bent and it will take 2 days if you want to get them straightened , also there were fairing wibes past 7k rpm which were not there before servicing.I decided that I will get the forks fixed later.
While coming back near Guindy flyover the bike's clutch wire broke . I tried calling service center but knew it would be of no use as they close at 5:30PM. I parked the bike and asked an auto to take me to closest 2 wheeler mechanic. The mechanic returned with me and pushed the bike to his shop which was nearby. The mechnaic fitted a Pulsar clutch wire and it works perfectly.
From next time onwards I am thinking of trying Castrol Bike Zone or any road side mechanic , no way am I going to give the bike to Paras for servicing again.

I didn't knew it would be that bad, about the clutch wire I think people using R15 for touring must always keep spare clutch cable with them atleast I would be always carrying one with me from now on...

          • Hi Guys,

I was wondering if any of you have an idea about how much the swingarm and the monoshock for R15 will cost?

What kind of 'breaker' are you talking about? I have jumped my bike over speedbreakers a few times too, but haven't found anything wrong with it. Do a simple check anyways. When in motion, just leave the handle&try to see whether the bike is going straight or not. This will help you zero in on the fork.
Next, check the wheel alignment&condition of front rim.
If that is not the problem, we'll tell you how to check the front suspension too.

I would say lucky for that nothing happened, I would not really say it was speed breaker but it was vehicle breaker, huge and very un scientific, folks in BMC(Bangalore) are very expert in making them F$#*rs,

That is what is most difficult thing, Front tyre jumps on smooth rd, handles shakes voilently when left but bike goes straight. (or may be unconciously i am trying to adjust body weight to make it go straight) need to check that again. , need to check for RIM damages.

A somewhat similar incident happened with me at Miyapur Cross Roads a few months back. My F2 jumped in&out of a large crater at a speed of about 85. Thanks to the pillion, after being airborne, it came back straight onto the ground. Howver in the process I lost all my keys&bent the fork&handle of the bike too. A week later I found the roads there being repaired!
