    • Looking good.
You are using Michelin Pilot on the Rear and R15(rear) on the front na?
What size of michelin are you using? 120/70?

PS-Where to get the Iridium Cable that you all are talking about?

I have also purchased a NGK Iridum spark plug from local distributor in Kolkata for my RTR, model no CR7EIX cost me approx 413.00, where the MRP was 550.00. The dealer give me that direct discount. But found no point to use it, my stock double electrode Bosche is much better then NGK. Dont know about the Iridum cable though. But its all mind game.

**Need to sell my NGK plug, its only 200 km old,any one interested maill me at [email protected]. Courier charge is mine for out station.

You can never be sure about it, but in some way helps to pacify when you care about your bike and love riding it and you are not able to enjoy it the you were and way it is meant to be

          • @kasif-Did you check the Air Pressure. I had a same problem a few days back and it was because the tire had lost the air after going through a pot hole at high speed. I corrected the pressure and now everything is fine.

            • Ok its time for my 5000 Kms report. (This post is more for me then for you guys actually so that i can keep a track of issues )

Also all suggestions / feedback welcome

              * The engine is a bit more harsh now.
              * When I leave both hands the bike seems to go to the right hand side.
              * The problem with the horn is still there. (Horn stops working randomly)
              * Many times while shifting from 1st to 2nd gear the bike gets stuck in neutral.
              * Gear shift seems to be a bit more clunky.
              * Vibrations in front fairing.
              * If i break hard at high speeds, it feels like the rear wheel is skidding.
              * The engine oil was black, the viscosity is still there though.

              On the other side.
              * Very very minimal rusting, only on the front right handside of the visor.
              * No bending or anything of the wheel rims.
              * No punchers till now.

                  >> expected. tighten the fairing screws... and keep ding it regularly. Newer lot of R15's have a very thin double sided sticker placed between overlapping fairing joints... but it is difficult to get such a thin tape in the market.

                  • Hey thanks HydBiker will keep that in mind

next time try sitting straight and take your wallet off your right pocket
I dont carry a wallet, but you are right i think

Colour is not the measure to check engine oil status. What oil was it and how much did you run since the oil change???
Standard Yamaha lube, used by the SS guys. It was changed at the last servicing at 3000 Kms

About the horn, what struck me odd was that the SS guy was telling me that it could be because battery was getting drained.
And my bike is standard stock. No HIDs no changes at all. The only thing different i can think of is that i use the kill switch at traffic junctions.

[P.S. :- Service has degraded a lot at the malad yamaha SS since kaustubh (there last service manager) left, last time i went there to get my battery checked i had to waite for 45 mins none of the Servicing guys replied finally i got fedup and left. These buggers wont even touch the bike, maybe its just that they have very little time on there hands becuse of R-15's and FZ-16's sucess]

                    • hi all,
I have been following this thread for a long time now.
my r15 is just a week old.
                      I had a question..
between 2500 and 3500 rpm there is vibration somewhere around the spedo
i asked the sc guy and he told me that its normal...
i wanted to know if its really normal?
                      can someone help me out?

                      • I agree with Tazz
However i spoke with one of the service center guys
He says they have got lot of work and are short staffed he said they have made the request to higher management to recurit more guys.
He told me there are more than 30 bikes coming up daily in service and they have few guys to complete the task properly.
I think we just have to trust them about doing their job properly.
I had my 3 services done from Malad Probiking Showroom and service was done properly with no issues.

                        • Hi Tulinisarg

I am also facing the same issue with my bike i think you too are getting the sweaky noise when you accelerate in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear

What i have found is if you press the rubber which is between the digital meter and the faring the noise will go away...
actually that rubber has gone a little lose and the only way to tighten it is to put a folded paper in that rubber or keep a cloth in the faring as it will keep the pressure on that rubber
Try this if any questions post your comments

OK. Then I think the problem is with the forks.
