          • So, I'm pissed with the headlights of my R15, poor visibility and I ran into a pot hole bending both wheels . Wondering what my options are now.
Both me and Killer are planning on getting HIDs, but we prefer to only use one HID and run the other on Osram night breaker. I dont want to blind the on-coming traffic with 2 HIDs and cops will hunt you down soon as well.
            Any suggestions here?

One day you too would hit a bad patch on the road at a particular angle & force that the alloy would crack and then you'll get to know.

Well, yes, they are not as bad as they are portrayed to be but we gotta be careful. I have glided over speed breakers and pot holes in speeds excess of the ton many times but I got beaten once with a pot hole that I couldn't see until I am in it! I have this habit of lifting myself up on the foot pegs to reduce the jerk on my back (I do this unintentionally most of the times) but this pothole got me unaware.

In my trip to Hampi recently I hit a very bad speed breaker at over 80KMPH. I tried lifting myself but I was hardly getting up and created just some gap between the seat & my butt by the time I hit the speed breaker... the seat came back & hit my butt... nothing happened to the alloy! Also, tyre pressure was running high that time...

But 14xx/- is damn costly for a can of lube! Whats the net quantity of the Yamaha chain lube BTW? For the Motul its 400ml each (lube & spray)
Yes. Motul needs to be taken off and re-applied more frequently.
Is is 500ml can. Worth or not. Cant comment on that but it is surely better than Motul.
But I am shocked how come your chain is not making any noise. Try riding without helmet because I could hear it when i was without helmet.

I and Santa both are using Chinese 6000K HIDs. Santa has 2 bi-xenons. I have 1 bi-xenon and one single beam HID. The Bi-xenon is for lo-beam and hi-beam as well. Single beam is for hi-beam alone. For me it does not look that blinding. I asked my bro to ride against the R15 in hi-beam. Just adjust the reflectors and its fine! If ur fine with spending u can get Philips 6000K bi-Xenons for 9K IIRC. One of our members sk8er_joe has done it. No difference in the lighting. See the light for urself and decide.

                    • Hmmm, guess that one that we are gonna get is the same as what navnish has in his bike. Is that a bi-xenon? We are no tourers, just need some better lighting than stock to not bump into a car or a pot hole

                        • Guess that will suffice. Will run one HID on the right cluster and a Night breaker on left. That should make a world of a difference for me. I aint any path breaking tourer

                          • ^^True, but I would suggest that you sample both navnish's bike and Santa's bike before u get one. BTW our bi-xenon costed 2.2K each. Now even 6000K is not available at Chennai, only 8000K.

The other day was speaking to killer . told him the same.. better be patient do your homework and buy one. Suggested killer the same have a look at different hids then go for one. But will again suggest you to get the HID from Got HID Xenon? We have 4300K 6000K 8000K 10000K 12000K 15000K 30000K Kits and replacement bulbs. if anything goes wrong you can get spares atleast.I know it will take time to get it from the US but still atleast you know that you can get it . if a Chinese HID goes bad i am sure you will have to tour a thousand times to that guy from where you got the HID to get a spare / replacement.
