    I was told about a perf kit which includes the ECU upgrade, a new exhaust (not airfilter) and new cam setup.... but nothing concrete about all this...

    BTW: OT But now I am really bored of waiting, I have two options
    1) Stretch in the budget and go for a secret second hand sports bike (7XX cc) 2006 model
    2) Buy the damn R15, and a Car for my folks....

    Have already applied for the R15.... but i have the option of canceling the order! Yet to see the other bike and decide on the same.....

      Knowing Yamaha ... they do not roll out products changes every 6 months like any other Indian Majors. Forget 6 Months, i do not see anything new coming till 3rd quarter 2009.

      If they do, it would be Radical.. imho.

      They might bring out a totally new product but then it will never eat into the market of any existing one from there line up.

      @Santoosh : Please do a step by step Injector Cleaning Tutorial, when you clean yours. Inluding pics would be an added advantage.

        Hey thanx for the info but if the Eng. about whom you are taking is Mr. Andrews then i must have no expectation and must bury my call right here right now as i have already met him two times once during the bilke change and 2nd after the accident when he tested the bike.

        I dnt think they will dare to call me, i will have to do something by my own like @#$%^&*().........

            Hi!
            For last couple of days, I was feeling my bike was sounding a bit harsh. I waws planning to go to SS as soon as possible. However, this evening a strange incident happened. I was taking off on an empty road & I accelerated hard. I think I crossed the red-line as well, because, engine kind of did not respond at some time. Somhow, after this, when I started driving normally, she started sounding as normal.
            Is there a reason behind it? Is this natural?
            And God said, "Let there be light" and there was HID Kit. And God saw that the light was good;

              all speculations man .. nothing coming as of now as per the yamaha area ofiice ppl .. kindly do not speculate on this thread .. start a new one.

              + An air cooled engine = half/quarter/bikini fairing.


              @amit: the engineer's name is anup. young chap and quite helpful.

              Anyway .. finally got LED parking lamps and running 2 silverstars. Next step is to add both lights on low beam.

                Issue with Radiator, warranty claim.

                Folks,

                I am facing an issue with the Radiator.

                Its leaking .

                Yamaha Area Officer (Anup) visited the service center & accepted to replace the part under warranty, guess what the part will not arrive before 14th of Jan 09

                Info for all of you - The leak was investigated from HORN Mounting points. R15 horn is mounted on the RADIATOR. I was told that the issue is normally seen when folks add up heavy horns. I have to keep topping up the collant+water till the part is replaced.

                      1)R15 Championship.(Already happening, will keep happening too)
                      2)Circuit Riding Seminar.
                      3)Touring For Customer.
                      4)Media Touring.(Already happened I guess)
                      5)Club R15.

                          @all :As archi rightly said the speculations should stop.

                          but yes the source is genuine who has actually seen these physically at prototype & testing stage,

                          can't name him though.

                          I think wait & watch is better as we already have a really good machine.

                          @Archi :since 4 months & 6k of driving (70 % highway+30% city) no fault or rusting or noise till now except engine feeling a lot smoother.

                            Do you ever redline? If yes, how often? How much of your 6k do you think has been spent in redlining/hardcore acceleration?

                              102 Degrees . The fan comes on at that temperature.
                              Have seen it on the race R15 used by yamaha and anya.

                              For a common man , its not needed. I would have loved a Clock in the Display. I miss it a lot. V V helpful while touring.
