Same kind of problem I have faced in my Boxer CT Deluxe, found out to be Coil Problem. But I think it would be different for Avenger.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Ohk thanks, I was worried there's something wrong with it. It's working as per your logic. Not sure how they calculated it's working logic. Pretty flawed.Originally posted by AbhiAvvy13 View PostAbove the reserve capacity, fuel meter should show, i.e. above 3.5 litre.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Chain lubrication should be done at the interval of 500-1000km or depending on weather condition.Originally posted by Dakkani Rider View PostHey wassup riders, my 1st service is soon due, so plz answer my following queries :
Which oil is the best for ave 150 street?
Do we need a chain lubrication?
Foi engine oil, stick to mineral oil or bajaj oil upto 5000kms. Drain it every 2000 kms. But it is advisable to use synthetic ones after 8k-10k kms.Phoenix Came, Saw and Conquer My Heart, Forever...

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
What matters is the capacity of alternator which will charge the battery. So if the alternator is unable to produce charging current for the battery what is the purpose of upgrading! Either electricals should be kept as stock or should be modified after proper research for your own safety. Consult a good mechanic with proper knowledge in electrical before doing this kind of jobs.Originally posted by Maxsteel View PostCan we fit 12V 9Ah battery in 150 Street?Phoenix Came, Saw and Conquer My Heart, Forever...

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Battery charging time will increase. & Most important it should be fitted freely as the old battery. If battery fits a bit tight then it may explode during operation. Pls be cautious.Originally posted by Maxsteel View PostCan we fit 12V 9Ah battery in 150 Street?

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Hey guys... I just did an oil change on my street 220 myself. The manual says 1150ml, but even with just 1000ml the inspection glass shows an overfill. I drained the old oil by opening the filler cap to let air in, then removed the drain bolt with the bike on the main stand. After the oil stopped flowing out I put the bike on the side stand and a lil more drained out. After the oil completely drained i put everything back and filled 1 liter of fresh oil but the inspection glass shows the oil fully covering the whole thing. Any ideas?
I rode the bike for about 10km before doing the oil change.

May be the oil wasn't drained totally. Try to tilt the bike by yourself instead of using side stand. That way you will be able to drain more oil.Originally posted by iBerry View PostHey guys... Next time, after riding 10km , don't do the oil change immediately. Let the oil come down properly in the oil chamber.
Also after putting the new oil, crank the engine and let it idle for 3-4minutes. Then switch it off, wait for 1min and check the oil level.Phoenix Came, Saw and Conquer My Heart, Forever...

Yes there is one bolt only.Originally posted by iBerry View PostSo do I remove the excess oil or just leave it as it is? This happened to me when I used to own a Pulsar 220 too. There is only one drain bolt on the left at the bottom of the engine right?
Don't worry about that right now. Keep riding until the next drain interval and apply the process next time.

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Thanks for the info... anyways I'm using Motul 7100 10W40. Bike's done 530 kms so far.
I also broke one of the bolts that holds the seat...the left one when installing the seat back. I was using a socket wrench and the damn thing snapped off.
