random things right at race starts due to weather etc ruin a race which could have been possibly better.

good to see lorenzo looking more like his proper self. his overtake on rossi under the brakes on the damp slippery part of the circuit (sachsen curve or something its name) was brave and kickass (and actually looked scary and crash-fated but what do i know)..apparently it was damp and slippery enough there that everyone including jl himself was cautious there and no one was going even half their full lean there in the first several laps of the race..questionable place to brake late and overtake.

pedrosa looked promising in the first 3/4ths of the race as usual but faded away as usual.

good rides by mm (of course), jl, dovi, pol and even scott redding.

@ nirvaana: Not really, because Rossi loves racing for racing's sake. If he's beaten he'll looks for ways to improve, and he actually finds it exciting to be able to race incredible riders like Marquez, Pedrosa, Lorenzo. The only rival he really hated was Biaggi, because their two characters were incompatible; but even that is forgotten now. With Stoner there was a strong dislike, but not so much as in Biaggi's case. He likes Marquez a lot, that's apparent, even if he gets regularly beaten by him like everybody else. He saw MM coming at the very first race in Qatar 2013, when he managed to beat him, and jokingly said it was better to take advantage of the situation while he was still a rookie, because later it would have became much much harder... and was he right.

                  • Dissapointed with Stefan Bradl today. He had such a huge lead but couldn't capitalize on it at all!!!!! Sachsenring being his home track. How come?? He should have done better. Rest really strong performance by Jorge Lorenzo & Iannone.

I think Iannone will be awesome on a Repsol Honda bike.

Bradl had slick tires and started from the grid, but his bike still had a rain setup. That's why he couldn't be fast.

You are right about Iannone, he's really good. But I hope he stays at Ducati and takes the new bike to regular podiums next year.

But, I guess the others also must have had the same rain setup if I'm correct. So, it must be Bradl's fault.

man no offence but by your posts it seems you didnt/dont pay much attention to the race nor did/do you read any post-race articles in the internet or something.

others lined up on the grid with bikes with wet setup and wet tyres. then they went out on that warm up lap, figured it was mostly not wet so 14 (or so) riders came into the pitlane straight from their warm up lap, headed to their garages and switched to their number 2 bikes that had dry setup+tyres and that's why all those 14 (or so) started their race from the narrow pitlane exit.

on the other hand, bradl had already initially lined up on the grid before warm up with his bike setup for the wet but with slick tyres (this was done by their team in anticipation of semi-dry, semi-wet kinda damp track) and he didnt therefore enter into his garage after the warm up lap and just positioned himself on his proper grid position...unfortunately for him, it soon turned out the track was drying with no additional rain, and thus despite having slicks the bike's suspension and engine mapping etc which were setup for the wet conditions heavily hampered his pace on a dry track..

No, because the others changed the entire bike, not just the tires. Those riders had to return to the pits after the sighting lap and restart from there (very dangerous when they are so many, by the way...) but then they had the advantage of riding bikes fully set for the dry. I'm not a fan of Bradl, but this time he should be excused -- no way he could stay at the front with that imperfect setup.
