it ended up like this.

----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Suppo is talking a dig at Vale again

I still watch the last 3 laps every now and then whenever I get time.

By the way, did anyone notice the passes made in Moto2 by Tito when he was ahead of Zarco. He actually, did the same pass at the chicane in Assen that Marco tried. The you can't just go ahead and try a pass on every rider. There are championship runner ups, multiple champions, and then there's Vale. How can you possibly try the same thing on everyone

Come on man, even you don't get it!.. Mr. Suppo has been thinking about it and now almost after two weeks he's read Rossi's smart tactics. He's rejoicing that he's figured that out!! ... It's like that joke to him that he didn't get the first time, and now he's laughing on it two weeks later

Feeling sad for Marco Melandri. Was a good rider on the Movistar Honda team a decade ago. Was performing quite well in WSBK as well on the Aprilia which everybody dubbed as a concept bike more akin to Motogp.
But, yes in Motogp, Melandri's performance was well below par, that too by a mile if you compare it to Alvaro Bautista's times. Sometimes, he was behind the penultimate rider by 2 secs.! Dunno what was wrong with him. Maybe he lost his edge racing in the more sedate WSBK. Even high-profile wsbk champs like Ben Spies, Troy Bayliss, Carlos Checa, Colin Edwards couldn't shine in Motogp. & it's the truth..
O.T.: Though these days I'm more busy watching Le Tour de France. One hell of a bike race. Esp with all those crashes which change the entire standings from time-to-time & make it more unpredictable. Sorry to bring it here, but I feel cycle & motorcycle surely have a connect somewhere between them.!

@ R Thanks for compiling that list

Marquez goes top in FP1, with Rossi close on his heels. Marc is already on the race lap record!

monk - you're most welcome and I'll get the the remaining ones tomorrow morning.

Rossi is hot on Marc's heels and Marc is in no mood to back off. If this turns out like Assen where they run off away with each other, I guess the last attempt will be at the end of the waterfall. And I hope whatever happens Rossi comes out safe.
The next Yamaha after Rossi is Jorge in 7th I suppose. But he's only 3rd of a second behind Rossi. Winning for this this time around might be difficult. I honestly hope Dani joins the fight for the victory.

^^ Man you always catch me off guard

FP2 over, Marc leads

Jorge and Dani improve to 4th and 5th, Smith upto 2nd only 0.1 sec adrift from the current Champ.

Rossi down at 7th, but he's just 0.5 sec from lead. The top 15 riders are within a second of each other. Another reason for the smaller gap is the track being so small - 3.7km only I think.
I guess all of them are factories.

One thing I like about this track are the names of the curves. The 1st corner is called the coca-cola curve and turn 3 and 4 comprise the Omega loop

Back to MotoGP, Marquez is on song, only Pedrosa is within clawing distance currently. Hopefully Lorenzo and Rossi will find something today to take the fight to him.

Suzuki which was supposed to do well here is having edge grip problems and Ducati's are only being able to post one quick lap, not stringing together anything substantial.

Marc, Jorge and Vale 1,2,3 respectively. Smith is doing pretty well this weekend. Ppl still hasn't found the pace to fight for 4-5 positions.dovi looks good for 4th position.

All Spanish front row. Marc tales pole. Pedrosa, lorenzo, iannone, hernandez, rossi.

Looks like it is going to be a battle of the Hondas for the race win and battle of the yamaha's for the championship.

Read Rossi's comment, looks like he knows there's no point in risking and eyeing the top spot. However, the podium might be in sight. Rossi will keep Jorge in sight all through the race.

So this wasn't as exciting a race as we have gotten used to this season. But this is what was pretty much expected seeing the pace of the Honda's here.
I was happy that Jorge took the lead in the first few laps or it would have been boring from the 1st lap. Dani rode very well, as Rossi said he had something in his pocket which he pulled in the last few laps to gain time on Rossi. This is Dani's 1st podium this year I guess.
And what a run by Maverick, he beat Aliex to the line.
Alas my man in moto2 came 2nd from pole. Was expecting another backflip. What a blow to Tito, being taken out by a rider at the last corner when you're in podium contention.
