    That's a different matter altogether!

I'm going to miss the Assen race!

    Update from Emmett

Speaking of wonderful tracks, there is still no clarity over the future of the Brno round of MotoGP. No one at Assen has yet canceled their hotel rooms, but nobody has passed the date by which they have to make a decision on canceling. Everyone is continuing as if the race will happen, while awaiting the outcome of the City Council meeting on the 29th June. Once the council decides on whether to fund the race, a decision will be made on whether the race will be held. Dorna does everything in its power to ensure races go on as scheduled once the season begins, but they face a dilemma over Brno. They have yet to receive the funds for the 2014 race, and without proper funding from the City Council, they look likely to miss out on the funds for the 2015 event as well. Dorna are caught between a rock and hard place, just as the circuit is. Only time will tell how this gets resolved.

Even the crash.net guys didn't realise it's Thursday and not Friday as usual. :P
"For the first time in 2015 title leader Valentino Rossi began a MotoGP weekend on top, the Italian posting the fastest lap on Friday morning at Assen to lead the Repsol Hondas of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa."

@hgps - your man Dani, starting to lead Honda after quite a while.

Keep in mind Yamaha Factory riders are using new chassis which they say gives better corner entry.

And my man, the back flipper, leading the Moto2 FP.

Woohoo. Pedrosa at his best ever. Set the fastest lap ever in Assen. Marquez feeling gud with the 2014 chassis. If these two can keep Lorenzo busy during the initial stages & prevent him from escaping, then Rossi's got a good chance at winning with his race-end pace..!!
But the problem is not that. It is something else. None of the Repsol Honda riders like to take much risk & would rather follow JL99 rather than lead the pack. Which is why Rossi might find it tough against these guys. [emoji14]eriod:
P.S.: Good 1st practice day from VR46 indeed though.

Wow, Yamaha boys are really taking their new chassis to the top.
Both 1-2 in FP3. Petrucci and Espargaro go in Q1.

Yess yess yesssssssss. Finally, Lorenzo's boring streak will end. My hunch is that anybody between DP26, MM93 & VR46 has a chance for victory. But, as usual DP26 will get exhausted towards the end. Marquez will win only if he performs at the very highest level & is able to break away from the field which is quite possible with a string of mid-race lap records. But, looking at the past track record, statistics & form, it seems like Valentino's gonna win tomorrow. :Fingers crossed:[emoji106]

^^ Yeah Crutchlow the funny guy, even on Twitter he keeps tripping on his fellow racers and doesn't leave the hacks either!

4 hours more for the races to start. This looks like Rossi's race. Hopefully it will be dry. Lorenzo has decent race pace, but will have to pull off a fabulous 'Marquez back of the grid start' to be able to compete with his teammate and the two Repsol Honda's. The Ducati's do not seem to have the pace to trouble anyone this weekend, while the Suzuki's should be fighting them along with the satellite bikes of Crutchlow and Smith.

But what a qualifying. All 12 riders broke the pole record of Stoner's and within a .7 second of each other. Incredibly close, hopefully the race will be as close.

                      • Valentino Rossi conquered the 2015 Assen MotoGP qualifying: xBhp News

Valentine Rossi has topped the qualifying round in 2015 MotoGP in Assen. He took the pole position with a margin of nearly a quarter of a second. It was his first pole since Valencia 2014.

The Suzuki Rider, Aliex Espargaro tried to hit the two poles in the row during 2015 MotoGP ended up being bumped down to second leaving behind the Repsol Honda rider, Marc Marquez who is having trouble with his RC213V.

Dani Pedrosa will head up the second row, he was just a tenth of a second off the pace of his Repsol Honda teammate. Pedrosa leads a very tight group: less than a tenth of a second separates Pedrosa in 4th from Andrea Dovizioso in 10th. Jorge Lorenzo ended up swapping fortunes with his Movistar Yamaha teammate: the Spaniard will start from the middle of the third row in 8th position.

You're actually like the secret superhero who come in the night, leaves his mark and disappears. I doubt I would get your response on this post. I'd be lucky if I do.

But yeah the qualifying was amazing and thanks for sharing Rossi's pic. I just had a smile when I saw it, considering I'm very pumped up for the race after yesterday's qually.

Lorenzo definitely will try to make as much positions as possible as soon as the lights go off. He'll catch up the Suzukis no doubt and maybe a Ducati, but on numbers the Honda's have a faster engine to take the whole shot. But there are not many guys who can go off the line as quick as lorenzo. He's actually beaten the starting lights at one, he's actually that quick :

Marq pushing harder than anyone else, dangerously fast! Whether he can be consistent throughout is the question.

Why was Lorenzo pissed off after the warm-up? I was watching some non-English channel - bad link. It was either his own pace or bad practice start or the bike swap drill.

Rossi looks in good spirits. Hope that he can finish it off in style.

Going to miss the race. Where do recorded races are uploaded other than torrents? Someone, please be nice to put a link here.

It was awesome to watch Marc pushing even in warm up. It seemed Lorenzo was getting frustrated at not being able to match the times with his metronomic precision.

Though this does look like Rossi's race to lose.
