Probiking seems to be doing a great job with the Ninja servicing...quite contrary to my initial expectations. I hope Honda turns out like that as well.
You've got a point there but i believe they would concentrate more now since this is premium product and something very important for HONDA India.
Even BAJAJ with a bad reputation esp. Kivaraj...they are doing a good job with the NINJA i believe!

    • Just noticed the Milage part , in most of the blogs its written as 25kmpl ..

Ninja gives 35kmpl .. and why this one is soo low ??? and GT250R also in some 30+ kmpl range ..

is it with single cylinder or anything else which is affecting the milage part ...eventhough its only 27PS

Ninja averages between 25-30 kmpl. The worst for me being 24. I got 35 kmpl on my run-in ride (because I was keeping it at 60 and below).

This bike should definitely average 30-35 kmpl.

            • Why is the average thingy coming up??? I mean this is not meant for commuting.. This is meant to be a fun bike.. Btw...the milage is the result of how hard you are on the throttle...

The bike is rated to do 70 MPG thats 27 kmpl. So we can expect it to do 25 tops. And given the tank range.. The owner shouldnt feel that his CBR250R is giving him less tank range than a Busa for example (on the open highway, even a busa can avg 20+ *) Hence the mileage speculation

                  * - From what I read on Bike India, the Busa returned 22kmpl at the time of auto expo 2010 when those guys rode it from mumbai to delhi.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                    Quite so.

What makes you think mileage is only a factor for commuting?

More than commuting mileage is an important factor for touring. This decides how far you can go before you need to tank up again and then plan your routes and stops accordingly.

                      • Read an article in BSmotoring. Again speculated price is Rs.1.5 lakhs but the website quotes:

Although the exact figure is yet to be announced, Honda bigwigs went on record to say that the CBR 250 R will be priced (ex-showroom) at below Rs 1.5 lakh....

From a trusted source, (you know the source, the admin over here has asked not to paste the link, so I am merely quoting as to what is said)

The bike will be powered by a 250cc single cylinder, liquid cooled four stroke four valve DOHC engine which churns out 26hp of max power at 8,500rpm and 23Nm of max torque at 7000rpm.

Yes it is unlikely.. but what makes this pricing likely is the fact that the CBR250R is NOT an import. It will be Made In India.
