    But I doubt if Yamaha would bring a 250 this soon. AFAIK, they are moving into mass market, so the next logical step is scooters!

    Anyway, I just can't stop thinking about the CBR 250. Here is my observation:

    What I like:
    1. Touring windscreen
    2. Clock
    3. Split seat
    4. DOHC
    3. Cast-iron bush in crankshaft (less engine vibes)
    4. C-ABS (more to see how it really works)
    5. Touring position
    6. Preload Adjustable Pro-Link suspension

    What I don't like:
    1. Fuel tank capacity 13L
    2. Not twin spar chassis
    3. No LED tail lamp
    4. Single headlight
    Quench my thirst with gasoline!

      We really cannot compare the two.. one is a relaxed tourer which gives peak power at a measly 8.5k RPM.. The other is.. by comparison.. a screamer. with 25% more power coming at 11k rpm. Still given the size of fuel tank, and the superior fuel efficiency of the Ninja (It managed 30odd each and every time on the South India Ride) the Tank range of a Ninja (to empty) will be anywhere around 500km. Given a claimed fuel efficiency of 27 on the CBR, we can easily expect no better than 25. With a tank size of 13 litres, the tank range (to empty) comes to a mediocre 325.

      So, for lac extra, you get a faster, more relaxed, and more fuel efficient machine which is, most of all, more fun to ride. Given the starting of India Kawasaki Motors, this thing is bound to get cheaper due to more and more localization.

      There is still very little we can be sure about. I sincerely hope the lighting is up to the mark or it will lose even more brownie points to the Ninja. The bike is worth it only if it comes at my dream amount of Rs.1,44,219/- with ABS.
      Advice is a form of nostalgia.
      Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

              Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

                          and... a single pot CBR250 that looks sooo VFRish... just saying...

                            Showed it to my wife. She thinks we should sell our bike and get this one . Somersault...Somersault...Somersault..crash...bang .......yeeehaaa .

                            Were you guys cruising at 60 kmph or what ?
                            When the green is ripped at and above 11k rpm which is what a ninja rider will find himself doing on the highways it wont fetch you a mileage any better than 22kmpl.
                            To get a mileage of 30 kmpl u really will have to ride it like you were a member of the clergy. But yeah...the Ninja cant be compared to the single pot CBR. The Ninja250R really is a mini superbike and behaves like one. I dont think the CBR has been made to behave like a superbike and cannot, even if it wished to behave like one, thanks to its single pot.

                            when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.

                              You made life miserable, at least of mine by exposing us to what the truth lies. (Yes, no one has ridden it)

                              Apart from what MG has mentioned, the name CBR will outsell a VFR.

                                And thats why I wrote 'to empty'. We were riding with captain slow .. the one and only Toadzilla whose speedo error ridden FZ was struggling to do a speedo indicated 100. And for more fuel saving tips.. contact Hyperion.

                                P.S.: there was just a 10% difference in the amount of fuel we filled up. and by my calculations, my p220 gave me 35 kmpl consolidated on the trip. Do the math buddy.

                                P.P.S.: I have no idea how Toadzilla's FZ was less fuel efficient than the ninja. But.. it was. On day 2, we were toying with the idea of going back to pune on a single tank from goa. and the only 3 bikes hopeful of making it were the RTR, the P220 and the Ninja.
