Has govt. passed a rule that an R15 'owner' cannot own and ride a CBR-250R?

relax bro. someone previously said the R15 was the best track tool out there. the video was kind of a answer to their question. you took it in the wrong sense. why is everyone so uptight over here? lite lo.

i know man.. if you had read previous posts then you would understand my previous comment on how the R15 guys are gonna be sad lol
Such comments are not healthy at all... why should they be said.... R15 is still a potent track tool... it is probably the perfect motorcycle in India, one that inspires as much confidence, and is actually a reality .... the cbr is more of a looker... the performance is nothing that really deserves a CBR tag on to it .... that asides it isnt even there in the showrooms yet! What comes to India, with what pricing and what kind of spares back up is yet to be seen.

If you want I can go on douse the CBR on fire, despite being someone who hates the R15 for the small mill that it packs!

        • Relax guys. Honda & Yamaha have both produced fabulous machines (that are affordable too) & for different consumer groups. Let's bask in riding them. There would always be a li'l critique here & there. Let's just take them with a pinch of salt & move on, shall we? Cheers!

          • i was born in the 4-stroke era. so i have no clue about RX hence no respect. i dread to drive behind one for the nauseating blue smoke and the annoying noise thats about it on my opinion on the machine.

the same applies to the cbr tag. except a handful of indians not many know about the real CBR.
for indian standards this is the CBR ! it is coming to india. price and spares are inconsequential to this discussion right now.
as for my comment take it lightly guys !! am sorry if i have hurt your feelings.
i hope my post is not quoted again and again and bashed by every R15 owner.
            am deleting it. :|

totally disagree!! The R15 is a baby R1 and like its bigger brother promises brilliant dynamics which most bigger bikes cant match. The CBR was launched at the Bira circuit at Thailand and the R15 would literally beat the CBR as far as track is concerned( i can vouch for that cause i was there for the launch and the track session). But yes it will eat majorly into the R15's sales since most of the buying public would rather buy these bikes for show rather than how they really go. And the CBR is definitely much more bike to own than an R15.
His comments were in light of the R15 called a R1 wannabe.

Your comments weren't in sync as to a healthy discussion we (I, you, all) were having here.

                        Very sweet indeed!

I won't care if R15 is better than this or not..It is the best right now and it might continue to be the finest corner carver even after the the CBR launch..I am just looking for knee-down fun..

This looks easy than most of the bikes we've in our country..Almost as easy as the R15..Not a problem if I cornered any corner 0.05 secs slower than the R15...The 250cc 26 bhp torquey mill will be hell of a lot of fun while coming out of that corner..!

Honda locking horns with Yamaha...Now we are talking!

Waiting for Yamaha's move on this..

Muntaser's ID was 'Raging Bull' IIRC, and Abhishek used/uses 'Tvs fiero F2'
Not sure if Sheel was referring to Abhishek's post on some other forum ..

                          • Yammie sold its superb R15 like HOT CAKES despite being tagged 'overpriced' (1.10-1.15) for a 150 CC bike.

Now we have a proper 250 CC, 26 PS bike for 1.55-1.66 lakhs onroad !

So now if i'am standing at the redlight with a shining new black CBR 250, then there will be another one at my right side, and seconds later at my left side, then at my front, then at my rear.

At this price, this bike will be the PULSAR 150 (common like oxygen in the air) of the market, atleast in INDORE.

                            • That's what I'm afraid of... the bike will become too common to be exclusive. What then?

For anyone who is seriously considering this bike (me ), we should all get together and have them give us a discount of some sort for buying together.
