well, keeping aside my last post when i was in an over-excited, overwhelmed state, what i think is that a price that low is a good sign for the success of the bike in the indian market..but like the general trend is (in india at least)people just look at the cc and the price...
250cc - 1.5l - GOOD(^^)
150cc,225cc - 1.1l - BAD (15,zmr)
250cc - 2.75l - WORSE! (ninja)
so, it would be pretty popular amongst those who were initially planning to buy the zmr/220/r15/ninja. so, its priced extremely competitively.
it being this cheap, i have serious doubts of the performance though not its reliability(being a honda)..it corners pretty well though as seen from the videos and would be a good buy and value for money..
but it may (as someone already posted) become very common and lose exclusivity..
EDIT: at 145mm, gc is bad for indian roads, 1 cylinder a con but cant expect more in that price, abs-good.Last edited by veyron999; 11-05-2010, 01:27 PM.after monday and tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!!

The guy in the video just mentions that it'll be 1.3 lakh(his calculated guess). I doubt he's sure of that price himself. Very doubtful if it will be priced at 1.3! Considering the R15 costs something like 95,000-1 lakh ex-SR price, a 250 from a Honda just 30-40K more is something i for one would only wish for. Lets wait for Honda to bring the bike out, why all this speculation. It's going to be a few months before it hits the desi-markets. So till then let's keep fingers crossedOriginally posted by Tron05 View Posti will be definitely getting a non-abs version when released(1.3L as per a video), unless there is any news of competition by other players.

Ninja has a GC of 135mm and no one is complaining about it. And don't tell me that it is only driven on streets which are smooth and the speed bumps are sober coz a few Ninja's here have seen pretty bad tarmac. Even bullets gc is around that range and we all know they have been around for decades - even before the good roads got here. So the gc on this bike ... not an issue according to me.Originally posted by veyron999 View Post

if any automobile company was basing their decisions on our xbhp thread then i guess our markets should be flooded with 250s @ 80k and 400 @ 1.5l rs lol seriously man..Originally posted by bprags View PostSome of the above posts are giving Honda hints to price the bike higher

Don't we @ xBHP always speculate? What's wrong in that? Nobody is flaming or fighting. We are just taking our own guesses at what would be a ''I'll buy'' price
If speculation, mindless or not, wasn't allowed, I don't think many of the threads in the ''News'' section will be open at all
But what speculation does, is, gets our hopes up to a point and then the real facts come around and destroy everything we talked about for a few months
(Mojo)
Isn't it a surety that the bike WILL be cheaper than the Ninja250R? Then, we should all be happy and hope for the best!
Because any price less than 3.2Lac on-road is a price worth thinking about
D'oh!

Yes. Agree. But lets wait for Honda themselves to reveal the price. Till then lets dream and keep hopes high, not speculate(unless on a sensible platform). Speculation has taken tons of space in each thread where the launch of a good bike is being discussed aboutOriginally posted by ZeNashB View PostDon't we @ xBHP always speculate? . Maybe we should have a section called 'Speculations' along with the news section

Speculation is fun - kinda a lottery kind of thing. I speculated wildly before the launch of the Ninja 250R and it was fun! My guess was around Rs.2 lakhs, and it came in at 3 lakhs. Without speculations, the forum would be a very boring place!
Ok - now my speculation for the Honda CBR 250.
The fully loaded ABS version will come in at Rs. 190,000 ex-showroom! I will not edit this post - lets see what the actual price comes to in March.
