I would really like to see that what is the price they quote for accessory and also the items listed in it, because for a Honda Dio they charged 2.5k just for accessories which included front boot, side stand, matts, L/R Mirrors, front and rear number plates
which generally comes as standard in all other companies bike (except the boot).
If they do the same with CBR then the price might shoot up by 3-5k as CBR is premium model.

Thanks mate for sharing your knowledgeOriginally posted by surya220 View PostWhat you're saying is that the R15 produces a chunk of its power high up the rev range, like a late 80's turbocharged car.. That's called power.. Responsiveness is the way engine regains RPM once you drop the throttle half way up.. Example., if you're revving towards 10k RPM limiter in R15 and drop off the throttle at around 8.5k for some reason and open up fully again, it'll not rev up at the same speed as earlier, but there will be a LAG.. This will be evident in the higher 5th or 6th gears.. But, in the CBR250R, you will have a better rev build, right up to the limiter in the same scenario, without any noticeable LAG.. This might not sound so very important now, but ask a SaddleSore rider and he'll tell you how easier his life will be during those 24 hours..
In a nut shell, its better technology, giving better engine refinement and smoothness.. Cheers..

Help Help Help!!!
Guys any idea where to import the rear seat cover for CBR? I am thinking of getting it imported from Thailand or somewhere before this bike hits my home. So that I can tell my gf that there is no rear seat, and hence only one can sit on it. I am SERIOUS. I dont think I can allow anyone else who does not understand the safety/performance with this bike to sit behind me on the bike.
Guess what, I stole the idea from Harley and told her that the rear seat is an extra accessory and costs 30k extra to be installed. And she believed.

SO I need the rear seat cover/cowl/cap before I get the bike. Any inputs in this regard???

I too will need a Paddock/race stand and the crash guard bobbins/protectors. A seperate thread for CBR250R accessories sounds good.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostTalking about tools, i remember, the CBR is going to need a paddock stand(atleast for washing).. any inputs on how safe is it? and is it easy to use? Approximate cost? The thai sites have a lot of cbr accessories.. I wish we get them here soon too.. Can anyone share some info on stuff like paddock, crash gaurds etc for the CBR.. I mean it would be cool to get many inputs and will get to see a variety of thoughts and searches.. I dont mind a seperate thread..
Everyone can provide their inputs there.
I saw Rjays stands hereOriginally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View Post
Any inputs on the Paddock thing as most of us are unaware of it??
P.S: I opt avoiding ASC from my own experiences.. No recommendations on it.
RJays Race Stands - BIKES I RIDING GEAR I PERFORMANCE ACCESSORIES I SPARES
I will wait for Honda's Accessories for this bike, they should have the paddock stands I guess.
Also, Do Yamaha provide them for the R15?
I agree. Also we should regularly check the bike's engine oil level ourself as mentioned in all user manuals incase a top up is required. I am sure this won't void our warrantyOriginally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostAargee: saikamal is not asking to go against the companies instructions but he means to get the oil change verified.. As i understand because i feel so.. The point we want to make here is the ASC not doing their job well and using low quality oil in oil changes screws the engine.. My experience on two ASC serviced bikes.. So our point is just to verify the servicing done appropriately urself or from trusted mech and use good oil..
Again.. I am not asking people to void their bikes warranty but dont blindly rely on ASC and get evry job verified..

Yes, it is priced at 1.5K but may or may not fit the CBR. Some members tried it out on the Ninja&it didn't fit.Originally posted by shadabk01 View PostYes Yamaha does have a Paddock stand for the R15 which you can buy but as far as I remmember it is around 1.5k, please correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry if this has been asked before..but what would be the expected delivery date if I book the bike in this month. I called up Honda showroom in Poisar (Borivali, Mumbai) and they have no idea about the dates. Does anyone here know anything regarding this?
Thanks in advance.

Saw it in metal
Finally had a chance to visit the Honda Showroom at Malad on Sunday.
The bike was there in all its glory. And I like what I saw.
Impressions:- The bike is substantial, the pictures don't tell how well endowed the bike is.
- The quality looked good, but then I don't know what to benchmark it against.
- The console looked nice, my wife tells me it looks like our Civic's. I agree!
- The tires are of good size and fit well with the hugger completing it
- The number plate holder was very poor, I guess most would take it off right at the showroom and opt for a sticker either on the front mudguard or the visor.
I have taken a couple of pics, attaching them here. The sales guy mentioned that test rides will be available post 14 or 15th April. Booking amount 5K.
The waiting period is around 6 months as they already have over 200 bookings but a clear picture will emerge only post commencement of deliveries.
OTR: 1.63.xxx Mumbai for non ABS model and 1.92.xxx for ABS. The ABS one seems to be most sought after as its got majority of the bookings. All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Then make her understand dude!! Try to Educate her.. And who knows she also turns into a biker!! I have experienced itOriginally posted by ajaymanohar View PostI am SERIOUS. Well if you cant get a tandem cover imported in time, you can try something like covering the rear seat with a hard sheet of plastic and then getting it laminated in black.. Just a juggat i thought when you said you want it urgently
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

Thanks for that info, if I could get the details of the rear seat size and possible clip-holding position, I can get it done locally and sad enough, the Bangalore "moronic" dealers will get the display model only when we also get the deliveries.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostThen make her understand dude!! I am sure you understand girls, I tried all attempts but in vain, bought a Vega full face small size helmet for her, but it gets in way of her "flyin-in-the-breeze" hair. Then bought a helmet with only head cover but that makes her look dumb.
Right now, I ride with all gears, unfortunately, not her. And it scares the hell out of me, whenever I have a lucky escape... Sorry for the OT.
Back to CBR, I am thinking seriously about the juggat, also thinking of getting a paddock stand done locally. If I get it successfully done, I don't mind sharing the same with rest of our members... Atleast it would be cheap.
