I think you got it fast as you opted for Silver. The sales executive mentioned that I have a chance of getting it fast as I have opted for Silver ABS, most people have gone for Red/ Black - each lot will have an assortment of different colours.

Will they give the deposit back only when someone buys the bike we cancel? I thought it would be given on the spot.

@gsferrari: did they mention or ask you for colour on the call yesterday?? Can i get the bike instead of you?? I just want it fast as my exams in 3weeks and i am not able to concentrate.. Will try calling them but i dont think they will disclose such things untill i book there.. So just if you can check it

@vineet: if the 2months no delivery news is true.. I will be screwed up.. Then i will have to forget my cbr..

i called vihaan honda.. The guy said there must be some misunderstanding.. We are delivering the bike to only customers who booked it in Jan & Feb.. And also quoted me a 5months waiting if i book now!!! I told him i can pay cash.. But he just denied..

spoke to the manager in madurai! he says BIKES will be here after two weeks!

and who knows what they will say then! HONDA is unbelievable!
imagine ~ i was the first person in madurai to book it on jan 1st!
can someone teach them what a CUSTOMER is? if this is the case now,imagine the after sale service and availability of spares later!!!!

am planning to cancel my booking!save the money for NINJA 650r !

i hate this! simply ridiculous!!!!!!

ya someone should do something, honda is taking us for granted, very bad.

Even though its partly Honda's fault, i believe the majority of blame should be on the dealer's who have been selling the initial lots of CBR's to the Brokers as many people have mentioned earlier in this very same thread.
Now we do not know how many actually came in the initial lot since whatever figure that the showroom guy's mention will most certainly not be true.

Just curious here..Who are these brokers? I am hearing this for the first time.

People Who do not have an authorised dealership but still sell bikes of various brands under one roof. A few posts back some people were mentioning about finding CBR's in many of these shops.

There are couple of shops in mumbai who are selling CBR for Rs 210000 (std version) almost 50k extra...and delivery in 1 week and all the colors are available....this is just ridiculas....

Damn these dealers who are selling bikes to these third class brokers. We here are waiting from past 4 months and we dont have a clue as when our bikes will be delivered , these jacka$$ brokers just walk away with bikes as if it was made for them. SHAME ON THOSE DEALERS WHO ARE GIVING AWAY BIKES TO THEM..

Guys.. My dealer received one display bike today.. After the two bikes he sold.. And it has a minor scratch on the tank.. Very minor and can be hidden by a tankpad.. I asked him if he can deliver that bike to me and he said he will confirm and tell me day after tommorow. According to him, they also got a mail from honda saying that there wont be any bikes coming from the factory for two months due to part availabilty problem.. What should i do guys? I want the bike asap due to my exams.. And i had already planned for a tankpad.. So should i accept it if he is ready to deliver?? Any suggestions? I am too impulsive and loose my ability to think well in such situations.. So asking you guys..

They are std versions and the red(abs model) is yet to arrive. I spoke to the manager yesterday.

Can we have the names of these brokers? I think such black marketeers should be brought to Honda's notice and also to that of the press. I booked on the 1st of Jan in Mumbai and funnily enough, I don't even have any idea of when the dealer will receive the bike let alone delivery.
