People seem to have gone bonkers!!! To save Rs. 79/- i.e. 7.90 x 10 liters, they are lining up at the fuel station en mass. Most of them are going to be waiting for more than an hour to save Rs. 79/-. Heck, most of them will spend more on a movie ticket than that. Can't understand the logic!Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

This govt is plain f#*%ed up. i read that the gobt had to pay the oil companies a subsidy of Rs40000 crores to keep petrol at below current prices.
Had the govt mot lost more than a LAKH CRORES to the various scams today the oil companies would have been paid and we wouldn'nt have been paying more for petrol. Problem is that once the prices have been raised it is next to impossibkle going back because of the dwindling resources and so to protwct thw
e common man the increase should have been by a rupee or so. Rs 7.50 is f#*%ing crazy man!!!

The situation is more precarious than you think. It's not just a case of a lakh crore case. Let us assume that the lakh crore scam had not happen, even then we are in trouble. The sad state of railways (running in thousands of crore losses), the sad state of Air India (again running in thousands of crore looses), the appeasement of the government allies with thousands of crore of aid, and so on, and so forth has brought us to this point.Originally posted by plasmabhai View PostThis govt is plain f#*%ed up. i read that the gobt had to pay the oil companies a subsidy of Rs40000 crores to keep petrol at below current prices.

Americans have a famous saying 'There are no free meal tickets in this world'.... There is always a price to be paid, the question is who is paying the price. It is the middle class of our country that pays the price for poor governance and vote bank politics.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Is it such a big deal? After filling 16.92 liters today (after queuing up for almost 1/2 an hour) what I saved was just 127 bucks. AND this petrol will last me minimum 600-650 km. Saving of just about 20paise/km?Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostAt this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if manufacturers abandon performance bikes and reverted back to the good old days of 100cc bikes. Seriously, petrol price are beginning to pinch real hard.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

OF course I am not supporting the hike. I am just saying it is not a very big deal to lose sleep over. If thats the price of petrol, thats what you gotta pay. We cannot behave like parasites depending upon govt. price control on a commodity which was decontrolled ages back.Originally posted by princesirohi View Posti couldn't understand, what you said. are you supporting petrol price hike ?
If you do want to crib over something, crib over lack of facilities, poor governance, scams etc. Petrol pricing is not something which the govt. can control for too long.
The problem was that my bike didn't have fuel. And I needed it to be filled up. Had I wanted to actually save money, I would have filled up the 60 liter tank of the CivicOriginally posted by R-series View PostNo it's not a big deal, you should have waited till tomorrow and saved that 1/2 hour nad paied extra. at the end "time is money"
(for which there was practically no queue).
