Don't know about the looks but the way the baby Pulsar (135LS) handles and the way it's engine feels relaxed at high rpms, it probably gives a small peek into what the next gen would be like.

Regardless of the launch timings, the KTM will appeal to a different set of bikers.. also with a higher budget.

It was officially stated that the KTMs will be priced much higher (probably double) than the Pulsars.

Bajaj announced the launch of new Pulsars by September. The older stock needs to be cleared ASAP. What is the best way? Launch a special color edition! The same special color editions are generally launched in a product towards the end of its life time to clear up the stock generally. It goes true for both 2 and 4 wheels. History is the proof for that.

....thats what bajaj has been doing so far! They get the feedback from service stations(where customers go for first few free servicing) & then try to improve on major common defects noticed!

2: i dont race bro and if i do i wouldn't have gone with ZMR

3: no one denies the fact (other than new customers and die hard fans) that bajaj has quality issues.
4: P150 sells because of its brand value and is cheap than most of the other 150CCs and as i say P150 is people's new splendor

@saurabh: i know that every product undergoes testing but still every new product which bajaj offers has a lot of niggles and im not saying that they aren't improving

PS: i cant understand why people feels that a bike is good only if it can win races...

It applies only when you buy a powerful bike above 200cc... What the use of buying a bike (Karizma) which can't even cope with a 150cc bike like R15.

Then it would be better to buy any 150cc bike or even Splendor... Just for riding pleasure and not for anything.

P150 sells because of its brand value and is cheap than most of the other 150CCs and as i say P150 is people's new splendor

Honda Unicorn (which is the best 150cc bike) costs less than Pulsar 150.... And still people buy pulsar 150. And earlier Hunk n CBZ were also cheaper...

The answer is simple. Nobody likes to wait 3-6 months to get a bike so people go for the next option.

Of course, they have quality issues and they're improving, but are you aware of KTM's involvement in this Pulsar?

After that do you still expect quality issues? Even Bajaj are aware of their weak points, I hope you realize that.

See, every bike mentioned here including Karizma, P220 & R15 are primarily meant for the road, not racetracks. And the open road specially.
Karizma has a nice engine, but its derived from an off roader.
P220 is the best example of how a road going flagship should be- enough midrange and top end to handle the competition. and Still practical enough.

Don't understand why they come up with stupid cosmetic modifications whereas they have very some basic issues to fix like the rvms & vibrations.
