Yup, its something like that i think. Bajaj, when they are about to launch a new gen pulsar, is trying to sell out more of the older kind with some different strategies. Seems like they are following paths of hero in upgrading bikes with stickers.Originally posted by saipranav View Post
Rate of deprecion is more or less same with other bikes, but with that huge price of R15, the amount of loss would be considerably more than that on other bikes like pulsar220 or karizma. And the loss you suffer is on a 150cc bike. Not offending R15 owners and fans, just my considerations.Originally posted by Prakritij View Post

Pardon me for going OT
C'mon dude .. I know R15 V1 & V2 are great machines. With the word "fiasco", I meant the disappointment I (and a lot many) had to face due to the expectations of bump in power. I know it can be too much to expect from such a wonderful machine. But that does not change the fact that I fell prey to rumours and now disappointed.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostDid you manage to get quality saddle time on the V2?
Let's get back to up-coming Pulsar.
Does anybody have a wish list? I have mine but I am afraid of sharing it. After all we get disappointed when we have expectations.
Well any idea of its launch date?? Guessing it to be before DIWALI.The Zmaniac - 2 wheeled enthusiast

It often takes a humiliating overtake to understand that an early jump off the red light won't help them lead the pact. All I want to say is - Go after green.

Wasn't Yamaha's fault, was it? They never ever said about any such thing & maintained initially that there won't be a bump in cubics on the same platform.Originally posted by The Zmaniac View PostC'mon dude .. Give me a better chassis & suspension.

shouldn't it be no fairing vibrationsOriginally posted by abhee View Post+1^ Less fairing vibrations...
, for sure we know that next gen pulsars are going to share platform with Duke's. That means engine+chasis+suspension are going to be all new. Really expecting a highly capable iteration of Pulsars this time, the ones that will send competition scurrying for their drawing boards!

Pulsar Upgrades
My 2 cents...
I do not believe there will be too many changes. The prime reason being they have to keep the price within range. Pulsar 150 especially is a mass bike. Charging a premium for it will hurt Bajaj in sales.
Mono suspension is a must... it will help in good looks and better riding experience. New colour scheme higly likely. Engine upgrade also likely.
Liquid cooled ... 4 valve will be little far fetched.
Change of tank shape and overall looks of bike is a very risky area. Bajaj has to tread carefully ... it can almost make or mar the model.
Bottomline is Bajaj has KTM range as a premium offering. We will soon see few more models added to KTM 200 I hope. It does not need Pulsar to be that. What makes Pulsar a hit is....Its VFM
for the performance it returns. Product differentiation is key to win a toughly fought market.
I will keep my fingures crossed to see how much is true from above expectations. Though I would love to be surprised

On the contrary, you can expect too many changes this time.. what do you call engine+chasis+suspension change in a bike? liquid cooled may be far fetched, but 4-valve is certainly on the radar. IMO, Bajaj might even offer liquid cooled engines optionally at a higher price, though not at that of a KTM, which anyway uses very high quality cycle parts. IMO, Pulsars have gone past the stage where styling can affect the sales, success of P135LS is a testimony to that. Pulsar is more of a brand now!!Originally posted by Hota View PostMy 2 cents...

Pulsars are VFM, because of parts sharing between models, and now Bajaj is looking to extend the same concept to Duke & Pulsar, which is a very good thing for us. It may not be all parts, but major parts, which gives advantage to Bajaj.Last edited by vrugonnab; 09-17-2011, 12:07 AM.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/
