Today Pulsar engines are as good as any. No doubt that there's a lot of work that's still needs to be done specially on the chassis, over the past almost 4 years now, I never had one single reliability, quality or fuel efficiency issue. It all boils down to how you handle and keep up your bike and how well you did the run in. There's a common belief about Pulsars (and I don't know from where it originated) that if you have a Pulsar, then you can start banging the baby from day one. I'm telling this based on what I see people doing with their new Pulsars. Then that same I see at the service center with their machines with a looooong list of issues they are facing. It's not the bike's or manufacturer's fault. If you ill-treat a R1 it would happen the same with it too (of course you need to be alive to take her to the service center after treating her bad )

But the point is, it's a grand dad's myth today that Pulsars have reliability, quality and fuel efficiency issues.
    Well said!!!!
BTW hope you enjoy your ride the same way another 4 years or even more

When everyone kept abusing Pulsars and i found myself alone in the fan list I thought it must be something with my first generation (more then 8 year old) P180 and the later ones might have degraded since I am till this day happy with what I bought.

Waiting for an all new 250 from Bajaj. They may call it whatever they want but should be built on an all new platform and with all new design.

                What?!

I'm planning to buy a pulsar around summer.
with the new stuff comin up,
1>will the old pulsars still be available?
2>will there be a price hike?
3>will there be any power/mileage improvements?
4>with 250 coming up, will there still be 220?

Question,Is it confirmed that it is going to be a 250cc pulsar itself or can we go on speculating about the capacity of the engine?

AFAIK the engine its going to be 4 valve and the new pulsar is going to be completely re-engineered including styling cues from pulsar 135, thats all we know right?

i think there is still some speculation left about engine capacity. if a 250 CC is gonna look like a bigger P135, i might not like it, coz i like only fully faired bikes. i would like it to be a fully faired twin headlight (vertically or horizontally stacked), monoshock, wider soft compount tyres and hardcore performance oriented bike. but then that my personal opinion.

no i was talking about P250 if thats what is coming......otherwise if new pulsars are in 150, 180 and 220 CC categories, than definetely old, i mean current ones will be phased out.

I hope they don't forget rearset foot pegs in the newer models.
And I hope the spares cost will be low like before.

Well i personally think the spares are going to become more expensive that their current levels, attributed by both the increasing input costs, as well as loading of the overheads of the new development process on the parts.

Having said that, I also think that Bajajs are smart enough to keep the VFM equation similar..

HOW??...WHEN THEY GAVE ALL THE PULSARS THE P200 LOOK, ITS PREVIOUS VERSION WAS STOPPED RIGHT?

ARE ALL THE BIKES GETTING A NEW LOOK, OR Is A NEW BIKE COMING?

if the current ones will still be available,
then will there be two versions(EXISTING AND UPCOMING) of each pulsar?(the 150, 180, 220)?

there are already two p220s(220s and 220f)....will there be a new one?....or will it get a new makeover?
