Just like:
Ford has retained the original "Fiesta" by rebranding it as the "Fiesta Classic".. and the new Fiesta has just been introduced in India.
Maruti still sells the Alto & A-Star both of which are basically upgrades (different generations) of the Maruti 800.
Hyundai still sells i10 (which is the upgrade of the Santro) along side the Santro.

I hope the new product doesn’t kill the old 220… (and I think it wont coz they are different product for different segments)
In an unlikely situation that they do the p220 what they did to the p200... Bajaj will face a lot of flak!
Actually the P220 has been around for 5 years now. Quite a long time by Bajaj and International standards. The P200 is still present in soul as the P220 "Streetfighter".
But then almost everyone at xBhp feels here that the Old Pulsar Tank should be given the boot
. In case the tank shape is fiddled with, then it will be as well good as a new model.

I mean IF there is a radical new pulsar, let the 220 remain for a while...
IF there is just a spare part swap/oversize pulsar then no issue....
Bajaj might want to do a 'study' on the P200 customers base on how they feel about owning a P200...Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

If they keep the existing pulsar, the new pulsars will require a new assembly line. I bet they will discontinue 220 and they should. Afterall, its a 5yr old bike and i wonder how many people will be interested in 220 once P250 hits the market.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostI mean IF there is a radical new pulsar, let the 220 remain for a while...

What if the new p200 should be a naked bike with a KTM 200 engine?
It will be like choosing a car. Many cars with same engine but all feel completely different
.
