But i'm guessing it'll again be a naked bike? Just like the KTM.. Will there ever be a full faired Pulsar? That's what's gonna make jaws drop.. (In a positive way though)

Why aren't there any spy pics floating around the web just like the R15.

Maybe because Mr. Bajaj doesn't believe in "Viral Campaign"

will there be upgrades of 150/180/200 or bajaj will launch only 250cc by september?
No info on 250cc. Upgrades are coming.
And unlike those Japanies, Bajaj has always came with real upgrades and not some cosmetics.

It's KTM Duke 200 which will be launched at that expo.

Bajaj should think about technology with quality...

P.S - Just my personal comments
There are niggling issue with bikes that's because the lack of intellect at SC. They are poorly trained. Bikes are originally great.
And about engine note, pulsars have the best in Indian scenario. Where I live bullets are avoided like bugs. And loud Rx are considered as pure rape. (no offence)

I really adore R15. There's apparently nothing wrong with R15 except its depreciation. When P220 looses 10-12 k in a year, the R15 looses double despite being having a month waiting period.

May be bajaj didn't want to advertise by leaking photos. Yamaha did it with R15. And may be that's why we see many disappointed XBHPians. It creates only fuss nothing else. Honda did same with a newer 600cc bike.

Anyway when's the time right, we will see proper (I mean proper) commercials on TV.

It will! I totally agree with you on this. What changes do you think will be coming?

As for engine sound and other issues, with a good mechanic or SVC and regular maintenance, it will not be a problem for sure. But finding such good ones and doing regular maintenance is an issue with most of the Pulsar owners as there are just too many of them Very less are willing to take that extra pain for regular maintenance.

engine noise /vibrations/gear shift etc are some areas that needs to be looked into, but don't compare BAL with YAMAHA, they have all the knowledge base / technical epertise/experience of years, BAL has just learned to design bikes. i think it is creditable to produce such a bike in such a short time span.
Almost 4 years and 50.000+ kms clocked... No issue with the Console or the LED tail lamps... Works as good as new...

For the fairing vibrations I have a small leather piece fitted below the console right above the rod and I make the mechanic tighten each and every bolt on the fairing at every service... Engine noise...? Well my piper cross induction roar muffles all else... My gear shift is soft touch even after 4 years... I really don't know what to coment on it... Maybe the Mobil 1 magic... Costs me a grand a litre... And I change it every 6-8k kms as against the 10-12k recommendation on the oil bottle...

            • The issues with pulsars are 90% dependent on the carelessness of the riders. If given regular care these bikes would run as any other trusted brands, IMO.

              • 54000+ kms on my P220 Fi (Sep 2008 regn date). No major issues as such. Have got it serviced regularly & got parts changed at correct interval. Still very satisfied with it.

                  • Seems like it's Stock Clearance Sale of Pulsars

                    hi all....
After taking decision not to wait for a new generation pulsar, i went to Bajaj showroom to book p180. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the showroom guys said there is no pulsar in stock and I'll have to wait about 15 days after booking one. For ma question why it is so, they said that the pulsars are given new graphics unlike the two tone painting that we've seen till now. I think it is something like that in the new 220.
Also, this signals that Bajaj really wishes to sellout all those old units and before the new models are launched.
Guys, the signature dual tone (black/red/blue and white sticker) style is no more available. . . This is just like a mercy killing in ma opinion. . . Just so depressed... Lets see how its gonna look. . .

Perhaps the new graphics and changes the guy told me may be a new generation pulsar. . . Let it be so. . .

                    • Well, Pulsars are generally available on demand! two weeks, that's a bit suspicious, though not exactly conclusive. it's high time, they get next-gen pulsars in now.

                      • They told me that the next load will be with those graphics pulsars and the load will take some more time to reach the showroom. Felt something suspicious.

Bajaj claims - "Pulsar sells 5 times more than any Japanese sports bike"

I really laugh on them who fall prey to this line because -
                            1. Sale figure of brand Pulsar is nothing but cumulative figure of P150, P180, P220S, P220F.
                            2. Japanese sportsbikes?? We don't even compare Ninja 250R & CBR 250R despite both being a 250 cc bike. And Bajaj is comparing Pulsar sales figures with Japanese sports bike figures. Can it get any stupid?

Well, statistically speaking this may be true. But is it rational to do so?

1 .We indians are typically conservative.
                            2. We always want more out of less.
                            3. We tend to get attracted to cheap things n that's why chinese goods are beating indian goods here in indian market itself.

I am not saying Pulsars are cheap bikes. They certainly have evolved a lot over time & more importantly, on their own. I really admire Bajaj for that. But pulsars are certainly not among the best. Mere sales figures don't judge a quality product.

Despite spitting all the venom above, I am waiting for next gen pulsars. I just wish they improve their quality n make it top notch & give us a reliable product.

After the R15V2 fiasco, I have a lot to look forward to new Pulsars.

It often takes a humiliating overtake to understand that an early jump off the red light won't help them lead the pact. All I want to say is - Go after green.

And yes only when comparing bikes in their range(150cc to 220cc)

                              2010 - Pulsar 220
