I think they will be able to deliver, because when i booked the bike, representative said that they will get 45 units initially. So there is something predecided, after that people will have to wait.

    Hope he was right.

        Woww...! 1800 bookings...!

        The math now;

        1800 x Rs.5000 (minimum booking amount) = Rs.90,00,000

Some of my known pals have given 10k for the bookings, excluding that amount Honda has made a huge money out of the bookings alone. I will not be surprised seeing Honda hike the price of the bikes seeing these overwhelming welcome offered before revealing the OTR price God save this country!

Seriously, Even i feel the same. You never know about these companies, this number is a big reason for them to rethink the basic price for this bike. We are going to see few amongst lot of

^^ or similar to R15 .. which we fought and took delivery of bike @3.am in the morning ..

on price point .. its already fixed and there is no way that gonna change in huge margin .. may be +/- 10k variation we can assume ..

Huge demand ..will pay the way for reduced cost .. as the production cost will decrease .. but still .. BUDGET is there on the corner .. and tax on Steel and premium bikes will decide the fate ... that's the reason honda still not committed on price in india where as all over the world it announced the price

I had booked my CBR in first half of jan month. The showroom fellow told me bike is gonna launch in april month, that everyone knows. But he told me, i have to wait for atleast two month to get delivery of my bike.

The dealers have no information about the bikes... From a some what reliable source I am told that the deliveries would begin ONLY from August end...

1800 bookings is neat... goes on to say that a 'good' product in a good market opportunity space can fetch more money than producing and selling the same\me too product time and again and flooding the segment.

I hope the CBR ups the ante in our biking scene.

and I hope TVS grows some balls

1800 bookings.. ssems Honda will soon be capturing a good market share from here on..

but i hope that it should not follow on the same track as for the deliveries of Unicorn happened with a never ending waiting period of 2.5 -3 months... which might affect their sales in the long run.

Deliveries in august is pretty surprising. Honda looks to be repeating VW's mistake with the Polo.

Wow....what fully flaired,Premium "Honda" can do....Rs 5000-10000/- for booking a bike which one hasnt seen with naked eye yet....
Why they are charging more,so that people wont back out even if the waiting period is extended.....See royal enfield charges Rs 1000/- for the booking of Thunderbird(OTR Rs 1.12lacs),and promise the bike within 3 months....Thats a small amount and people can back out if they dont get delivery on time....

HMSI will be glad to refund if the bookings are cancelled!!! BTW, HMSI is financially sound than Eicher group & HMSI doesn't need to live with the booking amount!!!

Satyen, you just spoke my mind. TVS is always late to the party, I read that they are still thinking about what upgrades should be done to the RTR180. Its a pity that the TVS R&D guys cant showcase their prowess due to in efficient management.

Performance seekers need them, you can carry on with the JAPS

PS:- I have booked the CBR, but if TVS lets its R&D loose and gets a 250, I am gonna ditch the Honda, I know what TVS is capable of.
