My speculation were strictly based on the assumption ,that the KTM would be of YAMAHA's quality..... AND it has to be,else it wont be a premium motercycle..... Finger crossed.....Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostHH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

There was someone here on the forum who supposedly had seen the brochure and said it wont be more than 18 bhp . is he still holding his ground with 18bhp max?sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

Regarding pricing, I have an update to all of you guys - Not official but reliable - Should be priced around 1.25L Range. (Not vouching for it though).
hope this bike sounds same as the video
yup..he's right if u guys speculate the price upon Bajaj's VFM policy...then its not going to happend on KTM's & Kawasaki's products...but we can still have a hope because KTM 200 is not going to sell here as CKD...it should be assembled here unlike Ninja.....Originally posted by RanjithMN View PostWell its not BAJAJ,its a KTM product. If BAJAJ needs to protect the VFM tag it should be on the PULSAR range right?
and thats what it looks like the rumored PULSAR 250 might be the Budget segment and KTM and KAWASAKI will be the Higher-end segment. That seems more logical from a BAJAJ POV.
and i hope BAJAJ doesn't go ahead and decide we Indians only need couple of color options like they did with the NINJA's!

You know what even I have the apprehension of the bike's power output as bajaj has kept mum about it till now. Also the detuning is the another point to ponder keeping the fuel quality in mindOriginally posted by niks_devil666 View PostThere was someone here on the forum who supposedly had seen the brochure and said it wont be more than 18 bhp . is he still holding his ground with 18bhp max?

Above 1.20 Lakhs = No issuesOriginally posted by vishnus View Postthe power will never go under 19bhp or this product is gonna be a flop.

But under 20 bhp = No Buy
But if it's 25 bhp
Then even at 1.5-1.6 lakhs = Will buy
Here is a Hi quality video review of the 125 Duke.. the language is foreign though.

the ninja and the cbr wont even come close to the rd as far as quarter miles are concernded.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostI'm not saying it will beat it. I'm just saying we have got N250 and CBR right below RD350 in terms of performance. They give tough time to RD350 just because thesedays RD350 may not want to pull out all horses it has got because of the its old hardware and the spares availability. An RD350 in mint condition is a completely different case.

+1 to that....its a legendary machine & we can't compare a 2-stroke with 4 stroke...
anyhow KTM 200 will be faster in its class for sure.

This was already discussed in this thread. I guess, almost all the probiking showrooms are in cities where BS4 norms apply, if that's the case then 95 octane fuel is not at all a problem. What's more you get 97 octane in BPCL (speed 97).Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostYou know what even I have the apprehension of the bike's power output as bajaj has kept mum about it till now. Exactly.. these specs can justify even 1.6-1.7L on road price tag.Originally posted by Binoy View PostI would say even 1.7 is not bad at all

sigh.. RD350 was good & a legend in it's days, but hey, let's move on.Originally posted by revvhard View Postthe ninja and the cbr wont even come close to the rd as far as quarter miles are concernded.

Duke200 clearly can't be as quick.. but yeah, Duke 350 could be!! , which is due in 2013 depending upon the response Duke 200 gets.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

don't talk about the fuel's quality again..
this subject is discussed & solved on this thread
bajat will not going to launch a bike that runs only on high quality fuel which's available only on metropoliton cities
