HX250R wouldn't replace the RC as both are of different types. There really isn't any other bike series to look forward to, other than the RC series in the 200-400cc displacement range as it's the only supersport range available(barring the expensive Hyosung GTR)

Even if KTM promote the RC200 as a touring bike, tourers wouldn't even look at it due to the 2 factors,
1. Riding position: People already complain about wrist and back pains given by R15 when touring. In comparison to RC's sitting position, R15's looks like that of a commuter.
2. Fuel Tank: The RC's fuel tank is smaller than the small tank of the Duke by 1 litre. 9.5L including reserve isn't a good news for a tourer. This will be a bigger problem in case of RC390 than RC200 as the 200 might get away due to better efficiency
