820mm saddle height? Guess it's a track tool than street/highway ride.

OT: Already R15 v2 is based on track riding position. Now this will be even more aggressive stance.

So only option for me is to wait for P375 as it has a normal exhaust .

      No problem.
If you want a normal exhaust, you can install the official KTM powerpart Akrapovic exhaust if you're willing to shell out around 50K. The slight performance bump and bassy sound will be the added benefits as expected. Not sure if it'll be sold in India though.

Most probably. But I don't have any problems with it. I really love the seating position on the RC

₹50k for an exhaust i would add ₹20k something and buy a 150cc bike instead.. Hehe

Coming to RC, i too would love ride one of these.

        Ride safe and have fun.

Yep. 50K is way too much. But then, this is Akra we're talking about

          Here's the riding position compared to R15 v2 for a 5'10" guy.

Just had glances at superbikes saddle height
            R1 830mm
            Fblade 820mm
With wide saddle means I can only dream about it riding in the traffic.
Also went through how to lower seat height in some forums suggesting to slice the seat .And I assume that Rc doesn't even have a seat just a black thing .
So for all who are under 5.5 like me this can be just a weekend tool !! Don't dream to have one as a daily ride.

For some, even the R15's riding posture is extreme. But some do 1000+ kms on it.
One has to get adjusted to the ride and for those who can't, there are many other options.
and ya, for a 5'5" guy, it might be very extreme.

Hate that underbelly exhaust ! Making me climb a ladder to get on the saddle of NS .
And at parking I wish I had some cranes to help me.

Personally, I love it. Being 188 cm, the dukes are too small for me. This is specially evident on the track, where I find it hard to find a proper grip on the tank and impossible to tuck in low down. Too bad I have made a resolution to not buy another single cylinder bike.

Few days back I was coming back from office, I saw a fellow riding Hayabusa. he was like almost lying over the bike to reach the handle . So definitely I solely agree with you that different individual has different taste. And yeah obviously if some one is expecting R15 to be commuter then he must be crazy. If I am not wrong R15 is a track focused bike and not meant to be a commuter.

Don't call us crazy hehe.. I have used R15v1 for commuting few years back and now my brother does the same on v2.
Thats why i said, depends on a person's taste and passion.

RC would be a boon for tarcks. The speed is there, handling and the tyres are also top notch.

I'm about 5'10" but if I buy it, I'd still use this bike as a weekend tool But it'd mainly be due to the engine in that bike which is pretty impractical for the city according to various reports.

I personally love the riding position in the R15. If anything, it is the poorer low end torque on the R15 that would make me not use it as a daily commuter(in the city). The riding position is perfect for daily commuting for me personally. That may be because I find the upright position to be too boring

I like everything on the RC except the 200km fuel tank and the horrible KTM India quality control. If the quality is fixed, I'd seriously consider it as my next bike as the fuel tank wouldn't bother me all that much as I'm not a hardcore tourer. Moreover, there isn't anything track focused on this side of 10L other than the RC and the GT.

not at all bro. I just wanted to say that it's all about passion. So the position and those niggles really doesn't matter.

Bro no offense to any one of you I just meant that there is certainly a difference between Discover 150 and R15 V2. Now it depends on rider how he wants to use it. Like I would have been happy to use RC390 as my daily commute given the pillion seat a better one.

Back to topic.. These bikes are a few days away from being released (hopefully at the auto-expo) so we would know how the riding position is when we see it physically.

OT Unfortunately, KTM won't be present at auto expo as all their launch plans for this year are already unveiled. Also read somewhere that they aren't gonna launch the RCs in India before mid 2014.

I am 5'3 (Give or take an inch) and I rode a R1 to my office for a week and that Included squeezing it through a congested vegetable market on a very patch of road. You are way taller than me bro.
