        to me the duke 390 is cool than this. the naked street version of the present. this sports type...no...

                    The RC390 is likely to have poorer acceleration than duke due to shorter rear sprocket according to overdrive. The duke already had a tall top gear. Don't know why they did that.

                      Not sure but maybe the RC390 because of the fairing is be capable of higher tops speeds hence the taller gearing. Also they are built for different purposes, the D390 is a city bike where acceleration is more important than top speed.
