SRTH1987: Most of the sales person works in showroom don't know when a new bike launch gonna happen. Only the owner of the showroom knows the details unless if he/she speak about it only we would know.
2nd option: If we have a friend working in auto-mobile field, we can get some details.
AFAIK Honda have no plans to introduce the 300r nor 500r for India. They are now looking for the volumes.Failure should never go to heart & success should never go to head, both makes a person to fall in life-Winston Churchill

Re: Honda CBR300R Revealed: xBhp News
They might be looking for the volumes, but the current model of the 250R is currently stopped world wide and a replacement is nearly in the showrooms. So I dont think they will keep an already world wide production stopped bike in India. As they are losing sales in the 250cc category and as many rivals are coming within the same segment, even if Honda need some volumes, they should act.Originally posted by MR ACE View Post

That's correct. If honda launching 300r with higher price, will it get a hit in market?Originally posted by Ivin View PostThey might be looking for the volumes, but the current model of the 250R is currently stopped world wide and a replacement is nearly in the showrooms. Re: Honda CBR300R Revealed: xBhp News
afaik, only slight changes in the engine of 250R and 300R. So, the same money goes into the production and slight changes on the fairing wont make it any high pricier, atleast not more than 10k. As the 300R have independent ABS system rather than Combined ABS, price is adjusted there too. And not to forget, the 300R is a few kgs lighter than 250R. India does have a huge Honda following, and I very well think that the build quality(read chassis strength and reliability) is far better in these bikes compared to its rivals considering the price point. So a non ABS at 1.8L max could strike the deal for Honda. And 20k extra for ABS (Some sites say ABS is standard on 300R, I don't know more about it).Originally posted by MR ACE View PostThat's correct. Re: Honda CBR300R Revealed: xBhp News
All your calculation above assumes the 300 to be a single, what if its not, which is more likely IMO. It is probably a twin made to compete with N300, and if so that price is really sweet but for the fact that then it won't probably be released in India.Originally posted by Ivin View Postafaik, only slight changes in the engine of 250R and 300R. The CBR300 is a single cylinder. It is just a bored out version of the CBR250.

I dont think honda will give abs as a standard feature in a price sensitive market like India.Originally posted by Ivin View Postafaik, only slight changes in the engine of 250R and 300R. If cbr300r has been delayed for market like UK, well than I dont think its coming to India anytime soon. It will take a year atleast for honda to bring cbr300 in India but i feel they can launch cbr250 with fairing like 300 and sleeker silencer soon as they have already updated cbr250r in some countries.Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostThe CBR300 is a single cylinder. Re: Honda CBR300R Revealed: xBhp News
afaik, Just 20% of these speculations of certain sites turn correct. Maybe they just predicted it, they might get it right. I just predicted it my way, I may also get it right. I am just taking it that way. Typing some words saying that they spoke with Honda officials cant be believed until their words have become a reality in the past, which I believe hasnt happened yet.
But as of now, theres no word from Honda, I too think there's something going on.
250cc Hero belts out 31PS, so does 300cc Honda. R25 also coming this way. Rivals might have got their attention and some energy boosting changes are going on behind Honda doors. Who knows.
I very well believe the HX250R uses CBR250R's engine(retuned by EBR ofcourse) and Hondas Combined ABS system.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Nope, the engine is a clean sheet design with the help of Engines Engineering of Italy and EBR. Honda has no part to play in this.Originally posted by Ivin View PostI very well believe the HX250R uses CBR250R's engine(retuned by EBR ofcourse) and Hondas Combined ABS system.

Oh, but I see the ABS system was taken from Honda, So I thought likewise. So we will have to wait I guess to know more about the reliability and all.Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostNope, the engine is a clean sheet design with the help of Engines Engineering of Italy and EBR. OT Ivin: The biggest news from honda is they are going to manufacture the cbr650f by 2016 FY here as per AE news. We can't say will it really gonna happen. AFAWK is just a news. Take it that way for 300r nor 500r.Failure should never go to heart & success should never go to head, both makes a person to fall in life-Winston Churchill

Re: Honda CBR300R Revealed: xBhp News
I think they are bringing it via the CKD route. I think Honda themselves confirmed the news about 650F at auto expo. Almost all the sites are reporting it unlike one or two sites in the case of 300RLast edited by Ivin; 02-23-2014, 07:18 PM.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..
