Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia

Barring the riding position, which seems to be more towards a sports tourer, this bike seems to worth the long long wait Yamaha has made us do.

      Opinions, Anyone?
me too felt the same , normally bikes which are having more torque will feel faster , but less torque might be managed by short geared box say like a cbr 150 . but even with less torque duke 200 gives an amazing rush feel due to the engine character , i always felt yammies are fast but they dont feel fast no offence . people are gonna enjoy with refined , reliable and an superb handler for sure. lets wait for a proper shootout , now wait continues for reviews lol .

If its Yamaha, it needs to be perfect. This seems Perfect... Hence its Yamaha...
I dont care, if it looks CBRish or even like a Splendour, but I can feel the RD 350 character in modern tech. Cant wait to take a TD.
Whats with these upcoming 250s!! The Hero's and now Yamaha. Putting the power figure of CBRs and Ninja to shame.

          36 horses for a 250cc mill .. enough power!
Quite a big jump from R15.

According to the official Yamaha Indonesia site, the power is 27.2 kW at 12k RPM which is around 37, 36.98 to be exact, PS and 36.47 bhp at 12k RPM. Whereas N300 has got 39 PS with an additional 50cc. So it's all we can be very happy about.

I am already riding on 200kms/hr. (in my dream of course)
A great upgrade from r15, if priced well in India...

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia

Not very happy with the three colour options, except black. It's not that they are bad. They are good but they look like the "refreshed" versions that Yamaha brings out after a bike is two years old just to keep the interest going (like they did with R15 new colours). The worst is red/white. The red/white combination that they had brought in initial R15 v2 was simply superb. They should have used that one on this too. Plus, why not a sporty yellow?

And 36bhp from a 250cc is just fantastic!

                      A Yamaha + 250CC + a twin cylinder + a Screamer + Above all : a Sports tourer riding position!

Awesome bike.. awesome power figures.. Nice design though look of headlamps from side resembles that of honda Cbr 600r, still looks cool..

I personally have one small complaint and it is about the pillion seat. Similar like R15 v2.0, monkey sitting on a pole stance.. Wished it could be little lower without giving much height to the pillion. I know it looks sporty but it doesnt seem comfortable.

Still overall I will say that it seems to be a very good bike. I hope the pricing will be done on the lower side so that it can take on RC 390.

                              RATED top speed of R25 is 100 MPH = 160 KMPH @ 14000 RPM.
Price in Indonesia is equivalent to 2.70 L INR. Do not thing it would be priced below 2.50 L in India.
